Eh, I don't agree with this BS of pampering and emboldening rookies...playing for the NBA is a rare privilege that very few people can enjoy, you need to shut up and be thankful to any organization willing to entrust and pay you that kind of money.

No kid should have the power to say "thanks but no thanks"; singling out any one organization should get your draft rights revoked.

John Elway and Eli Manning would like a word with you about this time tested practice of refusing to play if they are drafted by a certain city. :chuckle:

Yeah, he seemed jacked up for the challenge of guarding an elite scorer in his prime averaging 27.0 ppg. He was denying him the ball and playing defense with intensity. Beal ended up going 8-for-21 for 20 points. Sexton scored 16, including a huge 3-point dagger in the final two minutes.

This is going to be a fun team to watch until they trade Thompson and Clarkson. But then we'll see more of Porter and Windler so it won't be all bad.
Dare I say it but Sexton actually did outplay Beal last night. Loved his intensity on the defensive end.
Keep it up young bull!

It is really fun to watch Sexton play and see just how much he is growing as a player. I still am not sure that he and Garland will ever be a good "fit" together, but Sexton has come a long way over the past year.

He entered the NBA as an efficient shooter in college solely because he could draw fouls against worse talent. He took bad shots and did not have a good three-point form.

But now Sexton takes shots from much more efficient areas and is a dead-eye three-point shooter. It is awesome and speaks to his work ethic. He may never be able to overcome his size to become a good defender or vision to become a good passer, but the kid will have a spot in the NBA for a long time because of his scoring.

What a great game by Sexton tonight, I think at the very least Sexton is going to end up being a very good microwave scorer off the bench for a playoff team with he potential to be even more

Sexton and Garland: I think they could be a really good fit together. Sexton is great off the catch and Garland is (or, will be, hopefully) great off the dribble. Garland just needs to learn that midrange jumpers are allowed.

Sexton is just in great shape. Never breathing heavy. He can really use his speed to his advantage now. Love his energy and passion. He's got the Westbrook mentality that you can't teach. Garland has the offensive nuances/feel you can't teach. Sexton looks like he actually wants to play defense, unlike last year. Hopefully Garland can make the same strides defensively in a year.

31-2-3 is about the most Sexton line possible. Dude is all about scoring the ball and that’s about it. LOL

His defense was great tonight and he's been working hard on that end all year. Several great passes as a scoring guard.

Sexton and Garland played together tonight and it looked good. Loved the 2 for one at the end of the 1st they cooked up. Best game they played together.

it sure looked better than the Frank/Barrett back court combo

As previously mentioned, his defense has been outstanding the last two games. Friday’s game against Brad Beal especially was eye opening.
You can say on offense he’s all about scoring, but if you are going to mention what he’s all about, you have to talk to talk about his improved defense.
