Teams are starting to double team Sexton and this is a good thing because it leaves someone open.

Sexton needs to learn the euro-step though..He seems to slow down when a bigger player is waiting for him in the paint...

Many counter moves for Collin to learn. He's still a pretty raw. The passing opens up his game to a new ceiling.

He gave Delly some credit for that tonight. Said it's helped his development

Sexton seem to play well with a veteran point guards. Im not trying to shit on Garland but maybe he should have been on the bench until he learned the position. Having Dellvadova as the main point guard have been great for Sexton.

If,Sexton continues to play like this and next season I believe he will be in his first All-Star game.

There was a couple of times you saw Tristan, Delly and Love talking to him on the court or sidelines.

I wish, the officals give Sexton calls,so he can go on the free throw line. It makes,no sense that a player that goes in the paint alot but doesn't get the calls.

His three-point shot is one of the most underrated part of his game. He will never be a Steph Curry but I feel like once he attempts a three-point shot it will go in.

And,it will be highway robbery,if he doesn't get Player of the Week...

Sexton is very explosive to the rim. I still could not believe how quick and fast he was when stealing the ball and go past the Denver guards with the ball and dunks it with authority. His next step is figuring out how to finish when big man is in traffic whether it is by euro step or initiating contact effectively.

Hope we keep Delly exactly for this reason.

I agree that Sexton plays well with Delly and even Knight last year. I think the problem was Delly's inability to have any sort of consistent shooting. For the team not to be playing 4 on 5, Delly needs to be on the ball. This is where he hurts long term development of both Sexton and Garland if he was the 3rd guard in rotation. Both Sexton and Garland need someone that can play both on and off the ball so the coaching staff can work on both their development of playing on the ball and off the ball.

We see how good Sexton can be when he is playing off the ball and has a guard that will defer to him when he is feeling it. Still he needs to keep working at being a PG and he needs someone that gives more spacing than Delly can. Garland needs the ball in his hands for the game to slow down for him and they really haven't done much work with him off the ball. I wonder if there is a vet combo guard out there that the Cavs can sign in the offseason that can help develop both Sexton and Garland to the next level.

I wouldn't be against keeping Delly unless he wants to move on from the organization.

Kind of funny where it just feels normal for Collin Sexton to score 20, even 25.
like you don't think about it. "Sexton scored 22, OK"

He is very consistent, especially for a young player. You're going to get around 20 points every night.

When Garland was playing, it seemed like you could check the box score after any game and see Sexton with about 2x Garland's points and Garland with a few more assists.

Most of the time,he'll have fifteen or sixteen in the first half without you realizing it.

You know he is getting good at scoring consistently when a) you don't notice he's scored 25+, and b) you say "man it looks like Sexton is having a tough game scoring", only to see him at 25+ on 40%+ shooting from the floor.

How I used to feel watching LeBron and Kyrie.

He’s getting passed his defender with ease. Kid has loads of potential. Great game in tonight’s win.

People can hate on Sexton all they want but there's no denying he bust his ass off every single game.

Does he have mental lapse,sometimes...Yes

Does he give up easy buckets,sometimes..Yes

Does he have games like tonight when it comes to turnovers..Yes

With that all said,he's willing to learn and get better.

You gotta give Dellvadova major props for taking him and Garland under his wing...During, each timeout, you see Dellvadova talking and coaching Sexton.

Even, when Sexton makes a mistake, Delly is there to talk to him.

That dunk attempt though.

He also needs to figure out when he needs bail out so he doesn't get blocked so much. He must be one of the most blocked players in the NBA. There was one play where he had Love open in the corner and instead he tried to lay it up against two Spurs.
