Another thing he's starting to show that I was hoping for this year is three point range from a foot or three outside the arc. With his quickness, if he can force defenders out that far he can really break down defenses, or just score over them.
I think the bulking up he did in the off-season showed up last night. He had the strength to knock down 3-pointers even in the second OT.

He missed his first 4 threes and you thought maybe he would be rusty this game then he just knocked down shot after shot over absolutely everybody.. Kyrie, Durant, green etc
Yep, he missed his first four 3's, all uncontested IIRC, and he also missed four free throws. Dude could have had 50.

Edit: On second thought that's incorrect. If he made those shots he missed in the first quarter the game would not have gone to overtime so you would have to subtract those 22 points.

They said he’d be nothing more than a Jamal Crawford 6th man type lmao. Love this dudes energy.

Lou Williams looking up from that ceiling....

Sexton doesn't have the physical talent of LBJ or MJ, but he seems to have that same kind of drive. That's just so incredibly rare.

I've always thought one of most interesting things about him is that he only completed one semester of school at Alabama...but he got straight A's because he's that freaking driven to be the best at whatever he does.

Just a really unusual guy.

Going to steal a phrase from the youngons these days but this dude is just built different. This guy wants to set you aflame, watch you burn, and piss on your ashes. If anything, teams are going to see Cleveland on the schedule and know it's going to be a damn dog fight for them to get a W.

Sexton is a fucking stud.

I remember the Warriors saying something like this the first time they encountered Sexton. That was a long time ago...

Jay Williams said the same thing this morning. Matter of fact, after that draft he said he would have drafted Sexton over Trae Young. Him,Kendrick Perkins and Isiah Thomas are the only ones that give him alot of love and like his mentality. The rest are far behind them.

Him nearly leading Alabama to win a game playing 3 on 5 for almost an entire 4th quarter... that really sticks with me. He doesn't care who is on the other side or the odds... he goes balls out no matter what and doesn't make excuses.

I'll admit he proved me wrong. His rookie year and most of his sophomore year were filled with too many empty scoring numbers and a tunnel vision approach. towards end of last year he looked like he was figuring it out, but sample size wasn't large enough.. now it's clear he has and he understands when to have the tunnel vision and when to get teammates involved.

And again, not to repeat myself, but coach JB had the right line up to close a game with Collin. Sexton/Okoro/Cedi/Nance/Allen (and Prince mixed in). There is no way that game gets closed out with Drummond on floor. Not sure it would get closed out if Love were available either.
