Last I knew, Fedor was the mouthpiece for the organization. He's basically just an extension of their PR department 95% of the time.

Agents and players most likely know this too. If they want to have a chance at making these guys work together, they shouldn't be trying to pit them against each other. Who certain people in the organization think is the best of the young core should be something internal and something that help them figure out a strategy to move forward. They also have to make counter plans so they can cover their bases. This is something I think the Cavs organization truly doesn't understand.

Well, it sounded like Sexton was on his way out until JB took over last year. It will be interesting to see how Koby feels about things after giving them a full season together.

Personally, I'm higher on Sexton than I was a year ago, but that doesn't mean Koby feels the same way.

I feel like whoever is talking to Fedor about this stuff is being counter productive to the overall team. They need to stop talking about who they think is their best talent and figure out how to make the talent we have work. The narrative is out there that Garland and Sexton won't work long term, if it has any chance to actually work they need to stop feeding rumors that it's one guy over the other.

If we get that franchise changing player and either Sexton or Garland has good chemistry with that player, the other will start plotting his exit. That's how the NBA has now evolved into.

I'm not saying we as fans can't talk about it but having guys from the organization leak stuff like this doesn't help them build the team up.
I don't think any franchise changing player would have any problem meshing with Garland who is a willing passer
with excellent vision. Sexton has more of a pure scorers mentality. I also think Sexton sees himself as the alpha on this team
and might have a problem giving up that mantle to someone else.

How do you not see the talent of Garland. He is top 10 in the NBA right now on handles and court vision. He will get it figured out if we let him.
Outside the special skill as a ball handler and clear understanding of how to create some space ,him taking risks to make tough passes on a roster with no spacing and turning it over a lot is not a sign of anything that builds optimism for me. Most of his easy passes are near the base line or inside 10 feet and are like really easy passes when the average bad defender anticipates him to shoot but Garland dishes it real fast as a counter which is fine his reads are great but if he could take those shots and make them at a high clip when the defender knows he is going to pass it every time he might have a chance to be effective against good defenders and so far he has not been for the most part.
I want to see Garland attempting 8 or more 3's a game to finish the season .Garland has a lot to prove and a long long ways to go before he is truly great if he ever gets there. I think he is a fringe all star at best without becoming a better under the rim maestro and I don't like the softness. I would be pretty easily convinced to take Suggs and replace him

So if Fedor is a Cavs mouthpiece(which I have no reason to doubt), how should one interpret his rip job of the recent Love incident, particularly in light
of the softball organization treatment of Love over it.

I know the tv crew barely mentioned it and AC even commended Love for his apology.

Turning it over a lot has not been a consistent issue for him though. After the last game, he has just three games this month with more than three turnovers. His A/T ratio has been quite good.

His trajectory is very exciting for me. The passes he's attempting, even when resulting in turnovers, are akin to young quarterbacks learning how to best use their arms against better faster defenses.

It's exciting because you can literally see that as the game is starting the slow down for him, he will be able to go wherever he wants and probably get his teammates whatever shots they want, almost how Payton Manning used to mentally beat defenses with just an average arm.

There's a developmental trajectory that you can now clearly see for him. I don't see a better arc for many young point guards and believe his is up there with Ja Morant and LaMelo Ball honestly

This is where you need to separate Fedor's stories from his opinion pieces.

The organization feeds him stories and sources. Fedor comes up with his own opinions.

I dont think anything Fedor says is more than his opinion about hearsay

Any knock on Sexton is mere fuel to his desire to get better.

Maybe that's their agenda!

I'm ok with that Fedor blurb being the fuel to his summer fire.

I'd REALLY like Sexton to not be in a gym alone this summer though. Even if he's playing two man or half court, we really need his next summer of development to be focused on playing with and optimizing others while on the court. But I digress

You have me except Ja Morant.

Ja is future MVP level of special in my opinion, Garland is future all star.

Ja Morant is flashy and very, very fun to watch...also an awesome individual to root for. But so far, he hasn't taken the leap yet, and his stats in no way, shape or form are pointing towards him becoming an MVP level type of player.

It's anyone's guess at this point.
