How did he look last night. People are telling me,he played awful despite the 25 points. I also heard he had a hard time with the trap.

I'm just going by what people told me about the game last night. I didn't see the it last night

Whole team looked like shit for three quarters. Then they dominated the 4th with Garland leading the charge.

I see,the first and third quarters bit us in the ass again. I don't understand, why this team struggle in those quarters...I understand we're a young team but we shouldn't be getting outscore double digits in the majority of our games.

I really, hope we revamp the bench this offseason...

I'm not sure what the score was in the second quarter, we might have even outpaced them, but we were trash in that quarter as well.

At one point we were something like 5-30 from deep, and the starting 5 was like 0-20.

Garland missed a couple of uncontested 3's in the 4th quarter that might have won the game considering it was tied with one minute to go. He also had a huge turnover in the final minute where he threw the ball away after dribbling into a Magic team meeting in the paint.

But his overall numbers have improved each month and he's poised to have a great 2021-22 season, IMO, especially if we can add another scoring option for him to throw the ball to.

He’s doing a great job. This month, he’s playing great. He’s been putting us in great positions offensively and defensively. He’s leading us right now. He’s playing amazing. I’m just really so proud of him, the way he’s playing and getting better every day. He has a bright future. - Cedi Osman on Darius Garland 4/28/21

Everyone needs to work on their three-point shot, especially Sexton and Garland...imo

Part of it is a lack of cutters, but it's a near-automatic turnover when he drives baseline

JB needs to install more cutting plays for Sexton, Okoro and Windler this offseason. You can't do pick and roll all the time to get an easy shot.

Garland had a rough shooting night, but he's a 40% guy, he's not the issue shooting-wise (our TO issues though...)

Love, who is typically a good shooter, was also awful until the 4th quarter.

The recurring issue is that we employ, and play non-shooters (or barely shooters) for significant minutes.

Players like Nance,Stevens,Hartenstein and Wade need to bust their ass this offseason....You can't have a bunch of players that can't shoot.

Informative

Out of town this week, so didn’t see the game last night, but your description explains the bit of scoreboard-watching that I did.

Okoro's lack of shooting is the biggest issue, in my opinion.

Nance is one of those "barely shooters". He can knock down an open shot at an ok clip, but nobody really guards him like a shooter, so he doesn't provide much spacing. He's also always hurt, which is the biggest problem for him.

I don't really care what Stevens or Wade do this off-season. Wade is actually an ok shooter, but I don't think either one of them is a legitimate NBA player.

Hartenstein doesn't need a jumper. I'm fine with him and Allen eating up 48 minutes/night at our center spot just being lob/garbage men.

We need to add shooters through the draft, or on bargain pick-ups. I love Delly, but we need a third guard that can shoot. We need wings that can shoot! We need a long-term answer at PF that can shoot!

Back on Garland, adding strength and limiting turnovers should be his off-season priorities. He's starting to look like he might at least be able to be an occasionally disruptive defender, even if he's poor overall. Maybe some added strength will help him inch closer to passability.
