kinda looks to me like he was going around the ref and he only high 5 one person. maybe he needed to use the restroom asap. lol it happens. hopefully this was not an indication of something bad brewing between them..

Yeah, could be.. but it's not an isolated instance...there's just been an awkward chemistry between the two up to this point from my observation. I hope it's nothing and both accept their new roles relatively soon.

Yeah, Don looked surprised.

For some reason the ESPN one doesn't work for me as there was a closeup on that one and you could see Don's reaction.

Why wouldn't he high five him there? I just see some weird chemistry issues between the two that comes from Garland's side. It's weird.

Bro I think you are looking for things that aren't there. He did the same thing to Lamar Stevens in last season's buzzer beater 3. Both times he sprinted straight to the locker room.

Don and Darius were talking closely at the scorer’s table late in the game last night. Looked like Donovan was trying to keep Darius going despite being exhausted. I agree there has been some weird body language, so I found that reassuring. I’m not going to assume anything bad until we hear about it from someone reliable.

Thanks for sharing that interview.

I'm getting vibes from him that something is off right now, and he isn't as happy as he once was.

"I've been going through stuff."
[reporter later asks to elaborate]
"Sickness. Slumps. Stuff."

He doesn't want to talk about what this "stuff" is.

There was also talk at the end about when JBB took him out.

Elsewhere, he says the "correct" things -- insists the team is all about their roles, that they don't keep track of stats, etc. -- but I'm thinking based on his other vague, unenthusiastic, and noncommittal answers and body language, that something is bothering him that he clearly doesn't want to discuss. I just hope there isn't an internal team rift they're trying to cover up, especially between him and Donovan. Cavs are obviously going to need both guys to be on the same page for the long haul this season.

I warned of this after the deal was made. Garland's ego was bruised. It turns into my turn, your turn. While this is going on,Mobley is playing like a dog who crapped right in the middle of the floor, then runs off to hide.

LM's all star like season isn't helping. My guess Garland is pissed.

Yeah, something is up.

He scored a lot because Gobert was very, very focused on taking away the lobs.

And considering how he was shooting prior it makes sense. Make him score.

I still gotta agree with Dom he doesn't seem enthused/happy and there are some odd things with Mtichell.

Yep, I'm in the camp that something is amiss between DG and Don. Outside of that end of half 3, there was also a moment when the team came to the bench during a TO, and DG left Don hanging, so Don gave him a double tap on his shoulder. The joy is gone from Darius's face, which is ultra concerning.

Conspiracy theory / tin hat perspective: After that loss in Golden State, when Darius had the worst body language I've seen from him, including ruining a possession late in the game because he was walking towards the baseline and Don wanted to get some action going (among other things)...my theory is there might have been a coming to Jesus moment in the locker room, and maybe, just maybe, the team gave Donovan a night off because of it.

Could just be his sore ankle, but was peculiar when I saw the injury report early yesterday and got me thinking of that ugly loss in San Francisco. Probably no correlation, but we don't know what goes on behind the scenes, and that performance would have pissed me off too.

There was a play late in the GS game when DG was bringing the ball up court slowly and DM
was standing in the front court waving him to hurry to avoid a violation. Is that
something to resent?

I think you guys are trying to read to much into that interview, he is clearly not happy with losing. He just wants to be healthy and between the eye and actually being sick he isn't there yet. He still flashes that infectious smile, in a post game interview he had every right to be upset about.

I agree. That eye is still pretty messed up.
