Who was that dude who was crowing after every bad game Garland had early on? Ozone?

Curiously silent lately, no?

Garland is getting to that point where the good games are outnumbering the bad. Give him the keys, John.

“You’re the future point guard of this franchise,” Thompson said of his message to Garland. “You’re the head of the snake of this franchise for a long time so you have to come and be ready. Put your chest on the line and make shots.” - 1/12/20

The head of the snake. The question is - python, cobra, rattler, or garden?

Ja Morant or Garland, long term?

Morant is still very cool. The tantalizing thing is Garland might be 2 years behind in development.
I'm very bullish on Garland's handle. Glad Collin hit those shots I was hoping Garland would bust the zone with his long 3

Agree Garland is a red shirt freshman. Morant is a junior. Their ages may be not that much different but their experience is quite different.

He's not a pure shooter man. That was the one knock on Morant. I would take Morant today. Long term I'm not sure.

That wasnt the knock I had on him lol.

His FT%, his 3 point % last year in college and now this year all point to him being a knockdown shooter in the NBA.

He's hitting less then 1 three a game as things currently stand. He profiles as a solid shooter but not going to be a knockdown shooter.

Morant will never be a reliable or high volume of the dribble 3pt shooter.
Cant compare Garland and Morant as shooters.
Migrants 3pt shots are wide open and with his feet set .
He is in the mold of sga as a shooter rn with a higher ceiling.

@Ozone was emphatic that the only reason Garland was drafted was to trade him. He guaranteed Garland wouldn't be on the roster come October.

What a clown.

I think you have to go with Morant. He has already proven he is a high PER point with elite passing skills. Trend lines for guys who start that strong are pretty good if they can stay healthy, which he has done. Memphis is doing very well on the rebuild. 3 years and they will be competing.

Memphis have the perfect young big for todays NBA, JJJ can defend extremely well and shoot he's similar to Chris Bosh. Their rebuild is looking great.

Garland is a great starting piece for us but we need to find more and more talent, obviously.

I love Garland’s one legged step back fade-away once he gets into the lane. Seems like a good weapon against bigger guys and his touch seems more natural than with the floater.
