if one of Delonte's problems was role and playing time, it would make little sense for him to go to Miami. He'd play behind Chalmes, Wade, Cole and Allen. Miami couldnt risk giving him a prominent role b/c he's not dependable (thru no fault of his own).
 
No way he goes Miami, it's just too perfect for when they come to Cle

Riley would be the last guy in the league to put up with him. They take players personalities very serious in Miami. They want a certain type of player, and Delonte is the opposite of the guy they want in their culture. On the court, Delonte may fit it perfectly, but off the court is important to them.

Maybe the Celtics take a flyer on him again? Even before the '09-10 season I thought it was better if we let him sit out the season. In the end it didn't really matter anyway. If this is the end of his NBA career I wish him the best of luck.
 
I have to think Los Angeles wouldn't be a terrible fit, if he hasn't burned all bridges with Mike Brown. Basically, only teams with firm structure and established stars will be willing to take a flyer on him and that severely limits his options.
 
Do the Hawks have an open roster spot?
 
If the Lakers pick up Delonte, one of the best storylines of this year will be Metta and Delonte teaming up.
