D'Ernest Johnson

Those penalties need to go on the QB, for not letting guys get set, just like illegal screens in basketball when the ballhandler leaves before the pick is set.

I agree.

The Browns run a ton of motion, especially on running plays, which requires the TE to move across the formation and re-establish himself tight on the other side of line. Obviously the WR has to also back up as to not cover him. So there’s multiple moving parts (the WR on the original side also has to slide forward).

Ultimately the QB really has to be the guy in complete control over the snap count there to ensure there’s no illegal formations, which I believe the Browns got dinged for 3x last night.

But that was also Keenum’s first extended action in a while, so I’m sure he was a little rusty.

Von Miller: “I’m going to kill the tackles.”
Browns Oline: “We’re going to run D’E all over you.”
Von Miller: “D’E?”
Browns Oline: “Yeah D’Eeznutz Johnson.”

I think when the Njoku penalty occurred at the end of the game, Keenum wa letting the play clock get below 2 seconds before snapping, so there was no time left to let the guys re-set. That was just a bone head move by Njoku.

So will the Browns trade him or offer him the high level RFA tender?

Absolutely.

A huge thing for me personally is that if you take away a home run, was their game still good?

Example- Henry in MNF. Outside of the insane 76 yarder, he was 19 for 67, which is pretty horrible.

Take his 20 yarder out, Johnson was 21 for 126. Just absolutely insane consistency.

*I* agree there's rust there, I just get protective when the skill guys get blamed for these penalties.
