I could write out a long post about footwork, vision, accuracy, but i don't have the time. I've got the eye for talent. When I watch highlights if they're special they pop immediately. Watson didn't do that for me. I don't care what the stats or what anyone says to me. It's my gut feeling from watching football for twenty years and studying qbs. I knew weeden would suck, when everyone said he wouldn't, but I've been wrong. Thought manziel would succeed. This won't work. Now whether you want to blame stefanski or not, what you saw Friday is how this offense will look. Passing wise at least.
I don’t even need to see David Bell play and I know he is better than Schwartz
Why do you think repeatedly saying this with absolutely no basis is even worthwhile?
If all you've seen of a player is highlights, you should probably go watch more of that player before feeling confident enough to repeatedly post your take on a message board.
For what it's worth, I have Watson behind these guys:
And somewhere in a group of these guys:
- Rodgers
- Brady
- Mahomes
- Josh Allen
- Joe Burrow
- Dak
- Herbert
- Stafford
- Russ
- Lamar Jackson
Honestly, Herbert was in that top group when I first made the post, and I edited it to put him in the second group before you responded.I am not convinced on Burrow just yet, and I think Herbert is borderline in that top group too. But other than that, i am there with you.
I would also like to piggyback on this and say that both Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco are good enough to win a Super Bowl and Dan Marino and Jim Kelly are NOT good enough to win a Super Bowl.Based on everything I’ve seen. Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Josh Herbert are better than Baker, but also not good enough to win a Super Bowl.
It's ironic you mention Lance and Fields because both are in tremendously different situations.Young with pressure: Mayfield, Fields, T. Lance, Tagovailoa, Z. Wilson, D. Mills, D. Jones - my money is on Lance and Fields to separate and rise.
I hate to say it, but Burrow should be much better this year than last year. Even if he improves marginally as an individual, his offensive line jumped from below average to a top five squad.
Quarterback tiers:
Top: Mahomes, Rodgers, Allen, Brady - these guys run the league.
Franchise Guys: Herbert, Burrow, Stafford, Watson (off-field stuff kills him) Nobody will talk about their jobs in jeopardy even after a bad year.
Solid starters: D. Carr, Prescott, R. Wilson, L. Jackson - There is enough reason for concern to separate them from the Franchise title.
Middle of the road starters with upside: K. Murray, Mac Jones, Hurts, Lawrence - Others below them might hold them off, but they are young enough to have a higher ceiling.
Middle of nowhere starters: Cousins, Ryan, Tannehill, Jimmy G., Goff, Wentz - more likely to bottom out than rise up.
Young with pressure: Mayfield, Fields, T. Lance, Tagovailoa, Z. Wilson, D. Mills, D. Jones - my money is on Lance and Fields to separate and rise.
NopeRussell Wilson and Lamar Jackson should be green.
NopeThere's absolutely no way that Justin Herbert should be green if they aren't also.
NopeKirk Cousins should be yellow.
NopeMac Jones, Hurts, and Lawrence should all be purple.

...Kyler is easily the most athletic QB...
Lamar Jackson would like a word. Definitely not "easily the most athletic QB."
