Seriously though, its health and his own play. He's been in the org 4 years. If what he was showing in practice and games was good, he'd have gotten more minutes. Cavs have allowed guys like Wade and Stevens to earn minutes and roles.
Wade has started more games this year than Okoro and averages more minutes per game than Okoro.
Wade earned a contract extension and Okoro has not.
So your whole resentment take is just weird.
It’s not even his play, it’s 100% his health. This season was actually the perfect situation for Windler as we wouldn’t have been asking him to do anything more than come off the bench and simply be a threat to shoot the ball for 10-15 minutes. He didn’t need to be a good defender or contribute in other ways like we would’ve hoped in previous seasons. He just needed to be a guy we could stick in the corner that other teams couldn’t leave wide open.
