Evan Mobley: 2023 All Defensive 1st Team

But he had a great 1st quarter, initiating his own offense from the wing. He showed a little of what we are all hoping he will become.

I don't have to tell you: Bobby Jones was one bad ass white boy on the court. His role for the Sixers is kind of like what Mobley is doing right now... elite third option and absolute defensive monster, switching and disrupting all over the place.

I dislike how he continues to be ignored in games where the entire offense is struggling

They seem to keep doing this thing the last couple days where they ignore Mobley and Allen the first 3 quarters, then finally use them the 4th to come back. They got to get them involved a lot more early on offensively.

That 50%+ field goal percentage is doing a lot of work there. Basically only big men can do that early in their NBA career, which is why the entire list of people who did it are centers/PFs

Looks like Evan is making a leap, averaging 17pts 10rebs 4assts over his last 5 games. Team is 4-1 in that span.

I agree 100%. But one of the problems with guards playing "your turn/my turn" is that means it is rarely anyone else's turn.

I still expect higher than 15ppg from Evan. 15 in heavy minutes from our future franchise player is a little suspect. That said...his rebounding has improved drastically and that euro step he added recently is amazing. I would love to see him get up to 20ppg after all star break. This offseasons focus should be hitting the weights with a vengeance and 3 point shooting reps daily. Maybe add one post move as well. I wonder if Hakeem is still doing training.

It is suspect but he’ll never crack 20 ppg with this idiot head coach in this system. A lot of times he goes whole quarters without scoring or even getting the ball to score and we play at such a slow pace he doesn’t even get the easy gimme backets. The only time he even gets the ball is the 4th quarter when he has to bail us out at the end of a play because we have no other options or good offense

A 3pt attempt per quarter seems doable for him. Getting in game reps would increase his confidence.
