So excited for tonight’s game.

Just excited for every game simply to watch Mobley. Looking forward to feeling like this for many years to come.
That's where I'm at as well.

One of the best descriptions I've ever heard of LeBron is that he is the queen (his "King James" nickname notwithstanding) on the chessboard. He is the one piece that can move in ways that no other piece can.

I have the same feeling watching Mobley, specifically on defense. He's the one guy who will make opposing teams ask, "where is he?" every time he is on the floor, because he has that kind of ability to affect the outcome.

Guys like this don't come around every day, or even every decade. I'm enjoying him for as long as he's a Cavalier. Even an otherwise meaningless exhibition game.

This is pretty high praise, but he reminds me of Marcus Camby with better footspeed. That would be an extraordinary defensive player.

My dad called him Nate Thurmond. Now I'm old but I'm not old enough to have seen Nate play, so I have no idea. I think Marcus Camby with better footspeed is a great comp.

Lol at people comparing Mobley's talent to Lebron's generational talent. Until Mobley learns to shoot he shouldn't even see the court. Fucking skinny ass bum.
I specifically said defense. Maybe that was difficult to understand?

Let's back up and start with an easy one. What three things are in a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich?

Mobley has a lot of KG in his game. I think Koby finally nailed a draft pick.
I've actually been somewhat of a Koby apologist in a way, pointing out that not whiffing on four consecutive picks, even if they were quite high, is not as easy as one might think. That being said, I have a tough time crediting Koby too much on this one. Easiest fucking Cavalier draft pick to make since 2003, and I don't even think it's close.

Oh man.. what have you done...

I was impressed with his rebounds. I was worried he was going to be soft on the glass but actually he uses his size well and contests boards outside his area.
He seems to time rebounds well and uses his length. Catches the ball high with his arms extended.

Marcus camby with faster feet is a good comparison defensively. Offensively though... mobley has shown more in 2 pre-season games than camby has shown his whole career.

Okay, let me set this one straight because some of you perhaps lack thread awareness or sarcastic meter, or both..

My post was in reference to Heat Check's post about Mobley a few pages back and was a follow up to the reply I had posted earlier. Like why would I shit on Mobley if I was backing him up? Sheeesh.

I was worried too. He almost seemed disinterested in the pre-season which had me worried.

An interested and engaged Mobley is going to be a very good player in this leage.

Then next year we can use our 2nd round pick to draft his brother, lol. (1st round has to be a true SF of some sort)

Edit: Then hire their dad to be a big man coach.

Yeah i was going to say the same thing. He didn't seem to be interested in rebounding at all. Must have been working on stuff the coaching staff wanted and was just focused elsewhere.

I would say his rebounding has been the biggest surprised, but it is probably how he is an NBA ready defender today. I am just shocked how instinctive it seems to him to be in the right spot on the floor. Not even just for point of attack, but he is reading the offense in real time and reacting immediately.
