Thought of you and a couple other posters here when deciding to post it or not. Wasn't sure I wanted to. But since the narrative on here was quick to condem and parrot the news stories, I decided that maybe a little balance was deserving and pushed the button anyway.

Glad you seem to have an open mind ...

That's beyond excessive and I don't like the guy much....

Marcell Ozuna is playing right now after the actual cops saw him ASSAULTING his wife..

Ozuna, 30, was arrested in May and charged after his estranged wife told police that he threatened to kill her, then choked her and threw her against a wall inside their Sandy Springs home. He was charged with aggravated assault by strangulation and battery/family violence.

Officers said they entered the home where they witnessed Ozuna grabbing his wife by the neck and throwing her against a wall. Officers say Ozuna also hit his wife with a cast covering his fractured fingers.

Sandy Springs police body camera footage shows Ozuna with his hands on his wife before an officer yells to “get [his] hands off her” while pulling his Taser out and pointing it at Ozuna. The officer then can be heard ordering Ozuna to get on the ground where he leaves the Taser pointed at him.
 
MLB has set the beginning mark of negotiations at 324+81+12+18....the first part of which are with pay.

It won't end up there, but its gonna be a long time before he pitches in MLB...if ever.
 
Fuck Trevor Bauer he’s a bag of shit and has been a bag of shit prior to these allegations. Good riddance, I hope he never pitches again. Baseball obviously doesn’t want him back…

Bauer is putting the player's union in a tight spot: either they represent Bauer on principle (to the chagrin of the rest of the players) or they let Bauer twist in the wind, have a crappy precedent in place & are looking at a 'failure to represent charge' (from Bauer & his group)..

However this goes, the LA Dodgers are thrilled... They get salary relief that they have already spent in other places....

He has been on paid leave up to this point. I would suspect he is out (& no pay) while the appeals process plays out..

In the normal work setting I have dealt with workers that were suspended or terminated & grieving the result.
In those cases the person still serves the suspension or out of the building while the process plays out.
