Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
First thing Bauer should argue is the three months plus of administrate leave already served with pay gets subtracted from any suspension time.

Then he would be like, Dyson got a full season and his was considered a worse case while Ozuma only got 75 and was seen doing the act... I get if he was suspended the rest of the season, but anything more, is just unreasonable and trying to get Bauer out of the league which is against MLBPA rules and will go against the rules agreed upon by MLB and MLBPA. You cannot add games because you don't like the person which is what MLB is doing in my mind. Problem is they may have overplayed their hand and I wouldn't be surprised if Bauer gets the suspension to almost nothing cause of it.

15 game suspension.. He was ARRESTED!!!! Was Bauer????

Boston Red Sox pitcher Steven Wright was suspended 15 games without pay for violating Major League Baseball's domestic violence policy, the commissioner's office announced Friday.

MLB investigated a Dec. 8 incident involving Wright and his wife, Shannon. He was arrested at their Tennessee home on misdemeanor charges of domestic assault and preventing a 911 call. He was released the following day on a $2,500 bond, and his case was later retired by the Williamson County court and will be dropped if additional offenses don't occur within the next year.

Wright and his wife have been undergoing counseling since.

Severe for certain, probably cut in half on appeal. Hard to understand the act as consensual when one of the participants denies it. I couldn't really care less, but as it stands it's career threatening. Bauer's lack of remorse and his basic personality hasn't done him any favors

Why would he have remorse over this?

while not advocating for domestic violence... the policy and precedents set is going to be ".. not good news for the commissioner, MLB and, to a much lesser degree, MLBPA.." Bauer has the resources to stand the "judge jury and conviction" role of the commissioner on its ear...

The ramifications from that can ripple through baseball for years to come.. and Bauer is just arrogant enough to take it to the limit.. one he should win..

This just comes off as Manfred trying to send a message that he's boss and you can't speak out against him. Unless he has some yet-to-be-revealed smoking gun, I don't see it ending well for him or MLB.

The he said, she said is a little harder to suggest with the text messages between the two and the female returning a month later for another night of physical contact.

For example you are with your SO and they send a text message to tie their hands up with a tie left on the bed when you get home from work. You tie them up and they then accuse you of restraining them against their will. Then next month your SO says to do it again, this time with leather handcuffs they bought. Again after the fact your SO accuses you of restraining them against their will. After the second time the police are called and your SO shows pictures that are consistent with physical restraint. The police and prosecutors/ grand jury investigate and decide not to prosecute. So what happened?

Bauer's persona may be a character flaw (call him a prick, stubborn, a-hole), but it does not mean he deserves any less fair treatment from the law or with his employer and union under his collectively bargained contract. Trevor should receive the same discipline, if any, as Greg Maddux or Casey Blake. That obviously isn't happening here.

I think the MLBPA going along with every extension of Bauer's suspension is telling. Telling what? No one in MLB, on or off the field, wants him on their team, or in their city. His behavior hasn't a precedent and his penalty deserves to be unprecedented as well.

Just a horrible precedent sent by Manfred. He just continues to prove he’s the worst commish in sports. Trying to step on the most outspoken player against him

I don't know how anyone can try and defend this asshole or takes an issue with his suspension. I hope this POS never pitches again..

I think it’s time for Bauer to step away from social media and maybe get a real attorney. He’s all over social media tonight.

If I had to guess, this "third accuser" is fake news. It looks like Bauer has the receipts on her and her accusation just seems like regurgitating what she read in the news about the first accuser, reframed to fit her own situation.

I think Bauer is a POS but he's not being suspended 364 games for being a douchebag. It's supposedly under a specific policy.

The third accuser sounds like he made a rough sex tape with a girl years ago and what can I do with that now?

If as a young single woman a guy goes past your agreed to level of consent "dozens of times" to the point of choking you unconscious, why would you continue to see him after the first or second time it occured if he got angry and argued every time you brought your concerns up?
