As each free agent signs around the NBA the contract paid to Tristan will look better and better.
I said in my post that Lue has said this. I know this. Read my post before you reply. That's straight from Lue's mouth. So it's not a narrative.
There's a difference between bodying up a fresh Andre Drummond as a starter and bodying up Andre Drummond/his backup coming off the bench. Both for entire seasons.
Draymond starts at PF and not C for the same reason--his perimeter game helps in that regard too. TT has no perimeter game and lives in the paint.
I said we need to find a viable backup center. I know we need to. I just don't think Tristan starting is going to be entirely different from his role last season.
I think there's one out there..or they have to scan the D-League or UDFA's..once the market cools off someone will be available.I don't think we'll have the capital necessary to get a young offensively skilled big man. It'd be awesome, but I just don't think we have assets necessary to swing something like that.
SandersBut who?
There are plenty of vets who would love to chase a ring, and have actually, you know, played an NBA game in the last 18 months.
Indeed but not many are coming to mind.
If all we need is a big to play 12 minutes a game, Kaun can do that or there will be plenty of serviceable bigs that we can pick up for cheap. JR and Jefferson are the only two that we need back to make another run at the title.
