Farewell, Timofey Mozgov

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Of all our pending free agents, I think Mozgov is the most likely to leave.

Too many teams are interested in him and they are almost assuredly going to offer more than we're comfortable paying.
For the record I did say this yesterday morning!

Sucks to lose T Mo for nothing given we effectively traded two first rounders for him but just a massive overpay by the Lakers.

I still worry slightly that we might regret losing his size against certain teams.

Wish him luck in LA.

I love Brandon Ingram and Moz, the Lakers are going to be better next season... which isn't hard considering they only won 17 games and had the 2nd worst record in the league.

Hope LA fans love their 28-53 team next year!

I'm not so sure. Kaun looked horrible out there this season, and I watched every game hoping that he might be able to show something. Maybe he shows a little improvement and more confidence this year, but it is tough to visualize any upside given what we saw this year.
I agree. Kaun is lost out there. He's not an NBA player. Based on his age, there isn't upside, either.

oh LA you want our Love but settled for a Mozzerati

*might need to change the avy

Hard to draw any real conclusions based on the amount and type of minutes Kaun played which were inconsistent, garbage time minutes.

I'm not saying Kaun is going to improve anything, but for what Mozgov gave us last year, there are plenty of options out there to fill that role.

Kaun is a much smart player. He can protect the rim and board adequately for 12 minutes a game during the regular season.

If Kaun was a better player, he would have gotten more minutes. That being said, Mozgov has been way overpaid. The new cap really changes nothing if players are going to get the same percentage. Makes Tristan's contract seem like a steal. Same with Kevin and Kyrie.

We are going to have to agree to disagree. I don't think he has any conceptual idea of where to be on defense.

After sitting on the bench for much of his career here and if having learned nothing.. why is he here?

I'm basing my opinion on his play in the euroleague. I could be wrong, but I think coming to the conclusion he can't play based on the minutes we saw him play last year is weak.

He wasn't better than Mozgov, just saying for what Mozgov provide (which was very little), Kaun can probably cover that.

You don't want to continue to fervently argue about this issue minor issue that cannot be proven or disproven until well into the regular season? Your loss.

Do we still have the rights to Milan Macvan? I remember hearing that he didn't like Blatt from when he played for him overseas. Now that he's gone, maybe we can bring him over? Not that I'd think he would be any better than Kaun.
