Francisco Lindor, Carlos Carrasco Traded to the Mets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Greene certainly doesn't seem close to the big leagues, so it is a little surprising/disappointing that trading both Lindor and Carrasco couldn't return a major league ready OF or 1B. I can't wait for the Bradley/Bauers experience in 2021 :badair:.

Just sell the fucking team
All signs point to “be careful what you wish for.”

you think it will take that long?
Maybe a little longer. But I dont think its happening next year. I think teams prefer to put it on the fans.
4 consecutive seasons of 41-121 will make it happen.

That after being one of the best run franchises in sports and turning out garbage in person attendance. Mea culpa on that one.

I know all to well it is a business, but when Cookie agreed to that "team friendly" deal, it was implied that he would remain an Indian. Sucks that he didn't and it shows that nothing less than a no trade clause will keep the management from sending you packing.

It sucks for Cookie
Not only that but we milked the fuck out of his health & cancer story. To only throw him away.

Seriously, who would ever want to retire here & have a legacy? None of key players of the past 30 years who have accomplished anything here have.

So no major league ready OFs and the most we’re signing is a minor league deal/spring training invite player. We’re really going to trot out our stable of JAG outfielders again next year hoping one steps up?

Really hope Daniel Johnson shows us something this year and mercado looks like 2019 because this is going to be rough

Sad to see what has come from this franchise.

On a positive note, i may be able to upgrade my season tickets from everyone else canceling theirs!!

I really really hope the received his blessing before trading Carlos Carrasco.

Love ya Carlos and thanks for the memories Frankie..

Initial response.. The return is awfully light..

Reality bites. Gonna be a sad spring training and year for our team. Plenty of youngsters who will have ample opportunity to show what they are worth, good or bad.

I know it won't happen, but a salary cap/bottom would be nice for the small franchises.

Wouldn’t it have made more sense to just play the year out and let Lindor walk after the season? This return seems pretty terrible, could’ve probably found similar pieces in other deals.
This return is more than a draft pick.

I wouldn't be shocked if it's moved in 2-3 years.
The pandemic strapping cities for cash might have slowed down new city officials from handing out a billion dollars to the new owners
