Can you hire McCarthy mid season?

Give him 8 weeks to get acclimated and go into next season with some chemistry.

It's so tempting to just pull the plug on him NOW. And believe me, I don't want this tub of shit coaching another game. But I say just stick with him for the rest of the year.

Otherwise we're just going to scare coaches away from this place. The season is lost anyways. We're not making the playoffs. We just got to bite this bullet, ride it out, then get this tub of shit far away from this team.

What a disaster hire. Literally, ruined our season.

i’d be shocked if he’s here. Team would have to win out. Funny how literally the worst possible realistic scenario played out. 2-5 team looks like a dumpster fire. That’s just not acceptable with this talent.
 
I really don't think he will be coaching next week.

I understand wanting to pull the plug now. Because, look developing your team is still important. Even if the season is lost.

But realistically, what's the answer? You can't just bring in a new staff in the middle of the season. That's just crazy and not realistic at all.

And we're stuck with Wilks and company.

And it just looks bad. It will make good coaches look at the fact back to back seasons, we fire a guy in the middle of the year. And ask themselves, do I want that instability? Fuck, no.

I don't think there's a choice. We got to ride it out with Fred. We made our bed with this disaster hire, and we're stuck with it for the rest of the season.

If he is gone, now we have one off season and the most monumental decision in the franchises history really to find a coach who can deliver for once in the last 21 years.

What the fuck are the odds we find the best coach we’ve had in 22 years. I mean we might as well just hang it up.
 
I have to admit that I would be mildly surprised if this man still has a job tomorrow.

No improvement week to week. Team consistently looks undisciplined, sloppy, and unprepared. Bad turnovers, bad penalties, decisions that wouldn’t look out of place to a twelve-year-old playing Madden, and horrific playcalling.

If he didn’t coach himself out of his job today, I would have to imagine that his seat is melting.
 
John Dorsey needs to be catching some heat, as well. This was one of the most important coaching hires and offseasons in recent memory, and it’s looking like he completely missed the mark.

Eric Mangini, Butch Davis, fucking Gregg Williams would have this team at .500 at this point IMO.

We would have been pissed at literally any other hire, but we obviously would have been completely wrong. It’s Dorsey’s job to know better than the fanbase.

You can be pissed at Dorsey.

But Dorsey is 100% the guy, and we know that. Dorsey won’t be going anywhere for a long, long time.
