Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Two weeks off because of a tough delivery? Nice employer. I've worked for almost 35 years now and I've never heard of of an employee taking that much time off to be with his wife UNLESS there were MAJOR problems of some kind.

The other day we were told that Boobie would be back to play today. Now, he might not be back for tomorrow either? I find this all very strange stuff. It's now been the entire week for Gibson to be out.

A regular average joe wouldn't get this type of special treatment unless something serious was going on.

Actually its the law. You can take up to 3 months off when having kids. Your employer has no choice. Doesnt matter if you are the woman or the man. Its called the Family and Medical leave act of 1993. If you have more than 50 employees, they have to grant you the time off. So a regular average joe would get that time off too. Its not special treatment, its called not wanting the feds to come in and shut down your company for breaking labor laws. :chuckles:

Never heard of paternity leave Doug? :chuckles:

*EDIT - Read Attorney Lee's post above.

I am not an attorney, thats almost as offensive as calling me a realtor.

What about calling you an attorney that moonlights as a realtor? :chuckles:

Uhhh, I think it might work the other way, Doug... An avg Joe probably has more freedom to take the time needed due to the reasons detailed by others. However, I'm thinking Boobie might be feeling the pressure to get back to work before he is completely out of the rotation...oh, wait...he was kinda out of the rotation anyway..... Never Mind, Boobie, take all the time you need, signed MB...lol
:chuckles:

Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries !

I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction.

A guy who doesn't see a ton of minutes for a team that is tearing through the soft underbelly of the softest conference can take a few extra days with out there being a conspiracy theory.
Also
Find a better company DH, they do exist. My old Co. gave me 5 days paid paternity leave and my DVP gave me a wink and a nod to take a few extra days of comp-time she pretended I was owed. It's part of how good management demonstrates loyalty to it's staff.

Find a better company? Heck; I'm unemployed right now. I'm talking about 35 years of NUMEROUS employers, mostly in the lumber retail business... most of it as either the manager or an outside salesperson. I don't need to find a better company at all. I need to find A company. LOL

And no way; it's not normal or common for an employee to get a week or two weeks off when the wife is having and had a baby.... UNLESS there are major problems. That isn't any conspiracy theory either, nor did I say it's a conspiracy with Gibson. I simply believe it's more than a normal birth and am concerned something is wrong.

Snuggie night is tonight. Just got this pic from a buddy.
