Just wait until we expect to win every game if you think the hot takes are flying around free and easy now. Many have had the same reaction as you do and you're not wrong, but Game Thread is a different kind of experience. You'll get used to it.

Seriously though, welcome. Post more. Good posts, bad posts, hot takes, find a mortal enemy, React love bomb the posters you like, post a while drunk a few times, add a weird avatar, peep your head in Off Topic, run the whole gamut.

If you want a real rollercoaster, read the Browns game threads during the Bengals game and then during the Pats game. We went from "we're back" to "burn Baker at the stake, fire everyone, and rebuild" in like eight days.

I have never seen a forum with more knee-jerk reactions than what I see here. The Cavs have their second straight blow-out win over two supposedly very good teams. But here, I read things like: We got a bit sloppy. Committed too many turnovers. JBB doesn't know how to substitute. Rubio is playing like shit (even though he was a +38). Mobley is having a terrible game (because he was 0-3 at one point). Mark' is off. Blah, blah, blah. 1000 things happen in a basketball game -- they won't all be good.

When you’re serious about basketball like most of this forum, there’s room to nitpick. I think it comes from a place of “we could be fucking unstoppable if we clean a few of these things up”

We all want to optimize. When you talk about making things better, you talk about what mistakes can be corrected, what improvements can be made. You don’t talk about what you did right.

That said, I think people have been plenty good about pointing out the positives. People have complemented Frobley on their dominance. They gave K-Love props for his shooting and his defense. They gave credit to Stevens for playing well on both ends.

Other than that, the team didn’t play THAT well - but they still won by 25, so THAT’S good…

He clearly doesnt suck and I LOVE Rubio and what he has brought to our team this year..

but there were stretches tonight, +/- be damned, that he played like a wet fart....trying to be sneaky and instead getting shit EVERYWHERE.

At this point in his career, i like that he is our break glass in case of emergency big. Able to play when needed, but better using our other 5 first.

I think Darius needs to be less sticky, and also give a bit more on defense. He is trying, but he has zero impact on the other player.

I've never - not even in his prime Minnesota days - seen Kevin Love give this effort on D.

Rubio is proving that simple stats are for simple fans, and a player can heavily impact a game even if the simple box score looks like shit.

This teams swarming defense is outstanding. It almost feels like its six guys on d. Very encouraging. I didnt expect this result to be honest. But lets not forget they have their best guys out.

At the end of the preseason when the Cavs thrashed the Pacers in Indiana (starters only played first half and limited minutes, bench came in and continued to beat up the Pacers starters), that was one of those moments that had me raise my eyebrows on the prospects of this team going into the year. They continue to surpass that showing.

The Cavs are getting better and better and rising up to the challenge. Sky is the limit.
