Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #71 | Pistons @ Cavs | March 19, 2022 | 8:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I used to get really angry when leads went into double digits, but it's not much in the 3pt era. Ten years or so ago, yes, but I worry less about those leads now.
Exactly. The NBA is a game of runs now. 10 points is just a 4 possession run

It is good he stayed away. It was getting all those hands that got him in trouble in the first place!
Baker should’ve shown up. Although judging by the posts on the Baker thread some would claim he’s less accurate than Moses Brown.

I get that, but does anyone really care what grant and garland are talking about?
Grant do you have any good looking woman in this shit town

Garland first of all is not a shit town and yea I have plenty of pussy here

Grant iight I’ll hit you up

Garland my bad dude I don’t hang with lil bitches who wants to get traded to a team who wants to be a 1st option

Grant fuck you

See is better if they cover their mouth :)

Why do players cover their mouths when speaking? Not that serious. Making yourself more important than it really is.
I mean LeBron basically told Lonzo he was coming to play with him in 2017 lol

There were people who said that the Denver game was ruined because we lost this game. That’s the irrationality that I’m talking about.

But either way, basketball is a sport of good stretches and bad stretches
Bruh. Its a game thread. People have high expectations of this team. Yes, even when we have injuries. When we look like shit mfers are going to post about it in real time...in the game thread.

You want to and should build on the win against Denver. So yes, losing to the goddamn Pistons would have made the Denver win mean less imo.

Another come from behind win. LeVert hit a 3 to get it going with the Cavs down 80-68 and then Love took off with a lot of help from Cedi. Love was hitting 3's, drawing charges, getting boards, and hit Cedi on a long outlet pass for an easy dunk off a made basket. Kevin was doing it all.

Welcome back, Cedi! 16 points and a +13 in 20 minutes! He was the difference.

Darius Garland with an unbelievable 41 minutes after playing 45 last night. And he had 24 points and 12 boards. Just an amazing stud show.

Is there some kind of rule that says every Cavs' game has to be close? Win or lose - they're all close. Just an amazingly entertaining team.

Mobley had a huge bucket at the end and then stripped Grant. The rook steps up big in the clutch.

Jerami Grant single-handedly gave the Pistons a chance for a win with 40 of their 109 points. He went 7-for-9 on 3's; the rest of the team was 6-for-21.

The Cavs' bench outscored the Pistons' bench 43-20. Love and Cedi combined for 30 and LeVert chipped in 9.

Lamar Stevens started and had 15 points and 5 rebounds in only 16 minutes, going 6-for-7 from the field. I'm surprised he didn't get more run in the second half, but JBB found a combination that was working and stuck with it.

Markkanen had a slow night after playing 42 minutes last night, but he had the dagger with a corner 3 to give the Cavs a 9-point lead in the final minute and effectively end the game.

Every win we squeeze out with Allen out is gold. It definitely feels great to beat Detroit after losing the last two. As Austin Carr said, the Pistons feel comfortable playing against the Cavs and compete hard. It seemed like every Cavalier turnover resulted in a fast break and a dunk or layup. For some reason the Cavs were losing the ball off the dribble a lot tonight. Maybe it was fatigue. But they kept pushing and finally broke the Pistons in the final three minutes.

But we won though….

Again the comment was the “Denver game IS ruined by this game”

[LeVert] has got to start man. Stevens will be fine on the bench unit. Might actually improve the unit. It can just be a rag tag unit of energy/tough guys with the goal of getting Osman and Love open for threes and playing off their spacing. Cant go any worse than it's going right now asking LeVert to be a #1 option for that unit. LeVert is a complementary player in so many ways. We need to make that switch man.
We don't have a backup point guard. JBB clearly doesn't trust Goodwin and Rondo is still out. JBB wants to be able to have LeVert run the offense when Garland is on the bench.

Stevens started tonight but only played 16 minutes. It was like he was a bench player.

I was on a trip today. I only heard the game's 2nd half by radio. Whatta game! Here's the video. I'll go through the comments, which are always amusing.
