Another come from behind win. LeVert hit a 3 to get it going with the Cavs down 80-68 and then Love took off with a lot of help from Cedi. Love was hitting 3's, drawing charges, getting boards, and hit Cedi on a long outlet pass for an easy dunk off a made basket. Kevin was doing it all.
Welcome back, Cedi! 16 points and a +13 in 20 minutes! He was the difference.
Darius Garland with an unbelievable 41 minutes after playing 45 last night. And he had 24 points and 12 boards. Just an amazing stud show.
Is there some kind of rule that says every Cavs' game has to be close? Win or lose - they're all close. Just an amazingly entertaining team.
Mobley had a huge bucket at the end and then stripped Grant. The rook steps up big in the clutch.
Jerami Grant single-handedly gave the Pistons a chance for a win with 40 of their 109 points. He went 7-for-9 on 3's; the rest of the team was 6-for-21.
The Cavs' bench outscored the Pistons' bench 43-20. Love and Cedi combined for 30 and LeVert chipped in 9.
Lamar Stevens started and had 15 points and 5 rebounds in only 16 minutes, going 6-for-7 from the field. I'm surprised he didn't get more run in the second half, but JBB found a combination that was working and stuck with it.
Markkanen had a slow night after playing 42 minutes last night, but he had the dagger with a corner 3 to give the Cavs a 9-point lead in the final minute and effectively end the game.
Every win we squeeze out with Allen out is gold. It definitely feels great to beat Detroit after losing the last two. As Austin Carr said, the Pistons feel comfortable playing against the Cavs and compete hard. It seemed like every Cavalier turnover resulted in a fast break and a dunk or layup. For some reason the Cavs were losing the ball off the dribble a lot tonight. Maybe it was fatigue. But they kept pushing and finally broke the Pistons in the final three minutes.
