The real problem has been the injuries. Down Sexton, Rubio, then Rondo and LeVert most of their time here, and now Allen and Wade. We’ve also had Garland’s back issues. Despite this our team has remarkable resilience for being so young and we’ve accomplished a lot. I’m very proud of our guys who fight like hell and have made it to 41 wins before Spring. Awesome accomplishment.Second half of the season has been a struggle, but they have still put up some courageous comebacks. Problem has been the need for all those comebacks.
Winning record is what I wanted, but I will take the 6th seed. Then, next year, the expectations start.
The other “problem” is the fans who moved the goalposts on this season and are not willing to accept the fact that we’re facing injuries and our rookie hitting a wall before the break and were claiming this season had become a major disappointment.
We only have 11 regular season games left and I’m going to have serious withdrawal symptoms when this team ends play for the season. This has been one of the top five non LeBron seasons in Cavaliers history, maybe top three.
