The Garland, Mitchell, LeVert, Mobley, Allen lineup is starting to figure some things out it seems. They just put the clamps down in the fourth quarter and had great ball movement.

Over the last 15 games (not including tonight) they have a Net rating of +65.3.

How many mins have they played together compared to other Net + lineups?

Levert is playing better and it’s absolutely needed. Still think he needs to look to pass out to 3 pt shooters in the paint, but he’s doing some things.

Actually this might be true, but its the extra 10% that turns Bol Bol into Durant. The tallent lavel is very high at this level, but the is a reason you trade the farm for a player like MItchell, you need one to win in the playoffs.

Just got home from the game.
Spida obviously was the difference. He just took over from the middle of the 4th quarter.
But I think the 3 from Mobley at the end was the kill shot.

Sounds like another game where Mitchell showed that he’s a winning player, and everyone else should follow his lead. When the game’s on the line, the ball needs to be in Mitchell’s hands.

Do people realize around the league that a lot of the 7-10 guys in a rotation often have games or stretches of games where they don’t play or play very little?

The idea that the vast majority of the league has a tight, unchanging 8-10 man rotation that is consistent every single game and unchanging(except due to injury) is a myth.

It’s freaking Cedi Osman. Sometimes he’s good, sometimes he’s “bleh”, sometimes he’s horrible. It’s just a crime of the coaching profession to have him in and out of the rotation

I’d have to go look. It’s definitely a small sample size as Mitchell and LeVert missed some time in that stretch. The bigger key is the net rating on the year for that lineup has gone up over the past several weeks.

Off the top off my head though, the Garland, Mitchell, Stevens, Mobley, Allen lineup has a Net rating of like -1.8 on the year.

We just need to find a minor upgrade to make the starting lineup positive. LeVert will continue being a part of the closing lineup barring some massive unexpected upgrade at SF.
