Again three keys to win this game:
1) Double Brunson hard and take the ball of his hands (that means JA because Robinson doesn’t hurt us with jumpers)
2) Run Randle off the three point line and make him an interior scorer as his decision making and passing is weak
3) Continue to attack Brunson on the offensive end in PnRs and make him play defense!

8:30 PM for an East coast game with the next game essentially less than two days after? Really? These playoff times are ridiculous.

Why do they play games concurrently? They played two playoff games last night at roughly the same time. That is incredibly stupid. What happened to playing like 3 or 4 games all day one after another starting at 1 PM or so?

Yeah weird scheduling. I think they just want as much national TV exposure to The Garden as possible.

If the Cavs take this game, I really think the Gentleman’s sweep comes back into play. That short rest, to me, favors the Cavs due to the Cavs youth and a lot of the Knicks important pieces are playing big minutes AND banged up (Brunson, Randle, Hart).

Problem with that is if Robinson is in the dunking spot you can’t just leave him, my guess is they would use either Barrett or Randall as the PnP roll screener both is more of a threat to shoot , drive or pass before help defense can react,

Thibs has a lot of experience adjusting. He will come with something.. we need to have counters in our kit bag.. if we wait until halftime to counter, we could be down 20.. This is where JBBs lack of experience plays out as he will have to read and react to Thibs, instead of Vica Versa.

I expect an early run by the Knicks, and hope that gets an early TO from JBB. How quickly we adjust will be the key to the game..

I don't see Brunson getting physical as being to the Knicks advantage. He gets hurt and they are McFucked. The hard fouls will come from Randle.

They can do that twice a week (Saturday and Sunday). This isn't baseball. Games aren't going to be played in the afternoon on a weekday.

I don't understand the comment that Okoro has "almost no offensive game." A player who can hit corner threes at a rate of 42% over a 3 month period has an offensive game. I get that we're all pissed he missed all 4 threes in Game 1 (something that likely didn't happen since 2022). But that's a one game sample size.

The Knicks will again ignore him tonight. Let's hope he can make them regret that decision.

That 42% came on 2.6 attempts per game in Jan-March. He averaged slightly over one made three per game. That's why I said "almost" no offensive game.

He did average about 7.8 points per game over that period, so that's something, I guess. But for a small forward that's not much.

He did not play for 20 days leading up to Game 1 so I don't know if he can be expected to hit 40% on corner 3's this series, especially when he didn't come close to making any of them in Game 1 and they were all uncontested.

That’s cool as long as we continue to recover quickly on the rotation like we did last game!

That being said - if this game is close at the half, I think Cavs will win it. It's all about withstanding that initial energy from the Knicks. If the Cavs spend the whole first half down between 6-12 points consistently, I will be really worried. If it's close, and the Cavs are down by no more than 3 points at intermission - or of course with a lead - I feel great. JB is good at talking defense into his team at half time, and Thibs is bad at in-game adjustments.

I pretty much agree, except if they're down 6-12 points consistently. That's not a lot. Cavs can overcome that and have in the 2nd. Suffocating defense in the 2nd half makes up for a lot of 1st half problems.

Of course, I want suffocating defense in the 1st and 2nd half, and I want to be up 20 at half time again.
