Game Thread | Knicks playoff series Game #3 | Cavs @ Knicks | April 21, 2023 | 8:30 ABC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I pretty much agree, except if they're down 6-12 points consistently. That's not a lot. Cavs can overcome that and have in the 2nd. Suffocating defense in the 2nd half makes up for a lot of 1st half problems.

Of course, I want suffocating defense in the 1st and 2nd half, and I want to be up 20 at half time again.
Maybe I put the line at 6-12 because that will cause me extreme anxiety lol. I know they can come back, but I'd be really worried. Twelve isn't nothing in a playoff game...but yeah, it can be overcome.

I think I'll be most focused on the first quarter and the third quarter. How they come out to start the game with the NY crowd (not that it's better than any other crowd lol but it is a road crowd), and how they come out after halftime.

Obviously the second quarter really matters - ask the Knicks about game 2. But I'm honed in on the third and third.

Expect the Knicks to come out with big energy. Crowd will be really into it.

If we can hold the line early and not fall behind like 22-6, I expect us to win.

Young guys can’t get too caught up in the moment. Road playoff games hit different. Especially one in NYC/MSG.

Okoro has almost no offensive game, so he needs to play great defense not to be a serious liability. Just playing a few minutes and committing some hard fouls is not what we need. All that does is get the Knicks in the bonus early. Anybody can do that. Lopez can come in, knock some people down, and go back to the bench.

If Okoro plays his job is to make his man miss shots or force turnovers. And get some defensive rebounds.he passed up on open 3s but drove and either patried to poster everytime we could at least factor

My new nickname for him is flash. He FLASHES brilliance at times. Iv seen Okoro splash from 3, look like an all NBA defender, poster guys, and make point guard level playmaking reads. But he does neither with any consistency. You either get a good shooting game OR a good defensive game or a good passing game. He rarely even combines 2 or those skills in the same game.(He has done it this season a few times)

During the regular season, we did it almost every game. We come out flat in the first quarter and then somehow in the second half, we turn into the best team in the world.

I still believe that we can do it in the rest of the series. - Jarrett Allen

Hey Jarrett, how about being the best team in the world in the first half and coasting in the second? Kind of like Game 2. Make it easier on the fans, OK?

I guess the Cavs struggle but Mitchell bails them out

If it's still TBD, Okoro isn't starting imo.

I support it.
