Game Thread | Knicks playoff series Game #3 | Cavs @ Knicks | April 21, 2023 | 8:30 ABC

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was half ways expecting Mobley to have a coming out party in the playoffs but I guess not. Over all very disappointed in these first 3 games. JA, wtf happened between Tuesday and tonight?
79 points on offense is a total joke, part of this is on Koby for not doing anything about the SF spot.
How can he have a big game if our PG is going 2/18 and our SG isn’t even looking to pass down low?

If i were Jarrett Allen I’d mail it in too. My guards are not about to just ignore me while they go 2/18. Pass me the god damn ball

Yea I'm largely with you.

I don't care about the defense falling apart late. Mobley and Allen have defended their ass off all series to this point but this offense and right now, these guards, aren't rewarding them at all.

Your starting PG can't go 1-10 or w/e it was in the very first quarter while those two never get to touch the ball.

Brunson is a 1 trick pony.

The correct answer is that the Cavs had the most horrific offensive performance in a half I have ever seen from a team of their caliber. With how much the Knicks scored, a regular Cavs offensive game would have still beaten them out.
The looks the Cavs generated were great in that 1st half, but the shooting was ABYSMAL. Not even Donovan could convert.
Caris Levert is the only player who should escape the doghouse, followed by Jarrett Allen IMO. And he didn't have a great game. Maybe Okoro. At least he hit a 3.
Before you let the word "soft" leave your fingers, consider jumping off the Valley View Bridge.
The Cavs weren't letting these guys push them around. They were just ass.

Missed shots and turnovers. Reduce those things and it's a win. Defense, even with those F'd up line ups was on par with their better nights.

I expect Khalifa Diop to make a major impact in game 4.

Allen is exposed this series that he cannot handle any type of physicality. Dude, this is just Mitchell Robinson and you are manhandled like a ragdoll. How would he fair against Embiid, Brook, Timelord, Capela? Damn.

Outside of some serious flaws, mainly the coach sucking and the bench being abhorrent, this team is flat out not tough. A bunch of goofy, nerdy nice guys is great for the locker room, but I'm not sure that flies in the playoffs. This just doesn't feel like a team that will roll its sleeves up and go to war. Maybe they will prove me wrong in the subsequent games, but getting your ass whooped by a decent, but not special Knicks team would raise a lot of major questions in the off-season.

What adjustments can be made for Game 4?

Use two of the most efficient screeners in the NBA.

Make 2 passes on a single offensive possession.

Remove our heads from our asses on defense and watch a ball-u-man video on Youtube.

Box someone out.

Force the ball out of Brunson’s hands more than 1 out of every 15 times.

JB wanted Garland to set tempo with shooting, but he was off. You could tell JB didn't know what to do then.

I thought it couldn't get worse then game 1. That was the worst display of offense I've ever seen. We looked like we didn't belong, again. They looked like clowns the entire game with only a 2 minute display of decent basketball in the 3rd quarter somewhere. Shook by the bright lights of NY.

I don't wanna hear the "softness" stuff tonight.

Tonight's lack of effort in the 2nd half was a direct result of the abhorrent offense played in the 1st. Effort dropped because certain guys weren't passing, weren't making any shots, and the offense was as stagnant as its been all year.

I'm not gonna on Allen's case because he decided to not fight Mitchell Robinson in the 4th quarter of an already decided game when he was never allowed to touch the balll, even for a lob dunk.
