They are slowly bumping up internet prices, streaming service prices and streaming TV prices to where it going to make sense to just get cable again if you are into watching TV. I've read where you can cancel your TV/Internet and re-sign up again under your spouses name for the intro price switching back and forth every year. The only down side is you might be without service for a few days.
The prices going up has concern me. I have YouTube tv and have tried almost all the streaming cable services.
The one advantage of getting just internet and a separate streaming cable service is the ability to cancel for the summer when not much is on.
Internet prices will go down once 5g home internet get implemented. T-Mobile, Dish, Verizon, and At&t will all have 5g home internet and should compete with each other in most markets. T-Mobile and Dish won't worry about cannibalizing their own wired internet services since they don't have any. Basically Dish has to push to a certain amount or get massive fines of 2.2 billion. It also has to get a decent consumer base or risk failing as a company.
