The above article is one of the most significant developments that could occur in conjunction with the new owner. It's a long detailed article, but I highly recommend you take the time to read it.
Basically, it details plans for development by both Gilbert and G's ownership near the facilities. To me, the difference in this pie-in-the-sky plan compared to others are the people involved. They have very deep pockets.
Another reason for this is probably the fact that Ohio will soon have legalized sports gambling.
Among the developments include an office tower, apartments, hotel, and mixed use areas.
But the coolest part to me is a year-round baseball village. Including museum, and entertainment venues.
These opportunities could make the G's VERY attractive to a new owner.
It could be similar to the baseball village now in St. Louis.
