Really would like us to get him, although the first round is admittedly a stretch. I heard an interview with him where he mentioned talking with Evan four times a week and trading tips on how they are playing and how they could improve. I think having them on the same team could be really positive - make a family feeling for Evan and also spur him on even more than he is now (although he doesn't seem to need any motivation to work hard, maybe the extra perspective on his game could be good).

But of course it doesn't work unless we have a role for Isaiah to actually contribute, since I'm sure neither he nor Evan would want him to be just a personal coach or whatever. In that respect, he's becoming an intriguing player. He's hitting 40% of his 3s on four attempts per game, and showing potential to play as a "big" SF along the lines of what Markkanen is doing for us. In the short run it feels like he would have the potential to be an upgrade on Dean Wade in that backup forward position. He's showing some real offensive capabilities and may play himself into the tail end of the first round, although a lot will depend on his performance against better teams at the end of the college season. Here's a scouting report on him:

The new rule of thumb is to take in a less talented brother to keep a superstar happy. I suspect the Rockets pick will be used on Isaiah. It's not like we can't use another big anyway.

I think he's going to be a 1st rounder....likely gone even before our selection.

Lost me with this upgrade Dean Wade business….

If he can play the 4 and guard the perimeter like his brother, get him in Cleveland if he's available in the second round lol

Post Levert trade this is the only reason to be pumped up about the 2022 draft lol

Last year, the Cavs had him in for a workout before he withdrew his name from the draft. Isaiah was projected to go in the late second round. He is now a year older, and in the NBA, that's not a positive. While Mobley improved his face-up game and his three point percentage went up, he didn't become stronger or more explosive. I see him as a stretch four at the next level with Dean Wade as his blueprint for development.

He has greater value to us than other teams because of the family connection. Hopefully he will last deep into the second round.

We are going BPA in the draft so if he's at the top then we will get him. For sure if he doesn't get drafted we will definitely have him at the Charge at the very least...

Isaiah might go undrafted at this point, probably can use our late 2nd round on him and take a PG with our early 2nd

If we can get him late or undrafted, why not then... I see no harm in doing so...

2 draft picks, vet min or mle guy, not sure how much roster room we have for an undrafted rookie this year, we will most likely have 2 2nd round rookies.

I know adding Isaiah is the feel good story, but if he is a possible undrafted player, he might go back to play for Dad one more year and not even be available. He did it last year.

It’s not just a feel good story I think it will help Evans development. As I said above they talk constantly about improving their games.

He really best suited to play another year at USC, watch a few games of USC games this year, if he wasn’t Mobley brother he would be a afterthought…….
