Jacoby Brissett: Class Act

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The offense will go absolutely nuclear when Deshaun returns.

I just hope we'll still be in the playoff race when that happens.

I can break it down in a more simplistic way if you want.

The Browns didn’t pass the ball well today as a team. Jacoby Brissett is the QB who didn’t pass the ball well.

That better?

what's the EPA on Brissett in the 4th quarter of these games so far?

insert senseless cliches

People have such a fucking hard on for Stefanski at all times that it blinds them IMO.
You’re projecting. I actually like Stefanski and think he’s a great coach. Doesn’t change the fact I think he’s solely the reason we are 2-2 and not 3-1. He had a bad game

Can we get through tomorrow's game and then pick this back up then? :chuckle:

Browns 4th quarter QB rating with Brissett: 46.9

Browns 4th quarter opponent QB rating: 118

league avg: 78.5
Yes, not surprising.

When you ask a backup QB to rely on his arm to win you a game in the 4th, he ends up fucking it up. Brissett has thrown all 3 of his INTS during the 4th quarter. 2 of them had been on the final drive, when the Browns absolutely HAD to throw the ball. The Jets game was with seconds left, and the Falcons game was on a 3rd and 23 to try and get into FG range after he took a dumb sack.

It doesn't mean that Stefanski shouldn't have called the pass. It just means that when push comes to shove and Brissett has to make a play through the air, he's not that good. Which isn't surprising to anyone. Same thing happened last year with Baker.

The goal, for the Browns, should be not get into a game script where Jacoby has to be put into high leverage passing situations in the game script.

Stop comparing Baker's 4qrt performance with Brissett, the only former Brown to compare Brissett would be 2008 Derek Anderson.

Hence running the ball more throughout the game and expire the time clock.

...Why?

4th quarter, 2021, Baker had a 64.5 rating

Hence running the ball more throughout the game and expire the time clock.

The Browns lead the NFL in time of possession by almost a full minute, on average, per game.

Its only a 40% difference, no biggie eh?

Brissett has a QBR of 12 when trailing with 4 mins or less to expiration. 2 mins or less : 2.8

so there's a cap on time of possession?
