With Hartenstein's passing and toughness sometimes I think overpaying to keep Allen might be a mistake if thats what happens. They don't want to lose him either though and people forget they are both still developing and Allen could become just as good of a passer in time he just is not a good passer right now at all.

Guy is weird. He went from being an absolute lockdown defender in the paint to being almost invisible. Those first couple weeks it felt like anyone trying to drive was going to get swatted. I also noticed the last 2 games he's lost rebounds to the likes of Jalen Brunson and Doug McDermott. Like literally had the rebound taken away by them. Not a good look for your 7ft enforcer.

Another underwhelming performance last night. I hope he is out of gas, mentally and physically.
He loses the ball far too easily and often in the paint on both ends of the floor. He has also been
out of position or behind the play on defense again and again.

He's got multiple things to work on this off season.

And like it or not, he is going to get a very good contract from the Cavs or
another team. Cavs have to calculate how much to spend on what they think
he can become.

He should never be more than the 4th option on offense for a winning team.
I didn’t see much effort last night either. Perhaps the team’s late season collapse has him mentally checked out.

Does this guy even want to be here? He's playing like a guy who is saying don't choose me without saying don't sign me.
I thought this too but wouldn’t that cost him $$$ on his next contract regardless with whom?

he is obviously just coasting trying to avoid injury going into the offseason I can't blame him at this point in the lost season really. I says nothing too me about his ability or value to the team.

Still feels like he needs to get quite a bit stronger. I hope the end of the season rut is a more of a not killing him for a sinking ship, and not just the way he "really" is. But at the same time, hard to imagine any great players not wanting to compete (but I guess that happens all the time too).

I'm assuming either Allen or Hartenstein will likely get poached by another team this summer. At this point I really don't care which one the Cavs keep.

Don't know what is wrong with him. I am alarmed. He doesn't look good and doesn't seem like he wants to be here or play hard. Very noticeable difference in effort. Kabengele looked 200% more engaged. I hope any suitors expecting to offer him big money have been scared off. I am .

I would keep Hartenstein. Allen is ok but not worth a max. I really like hartensteins game

When Hartenstein is on the court, he makes his physical presence known to the
other team.

Allen can get real passive when he doesn't get shots early in the game.

And from the eye test, when he brings the ball down below his shoulders, he loses
control at a rate not far off from Drummond.

I like Allen on the team, just not seeing him playing at anything close to
the honeymoon period at his arrival.

If he is going to work on his passing in the off season, I hope he realizes
he first must keep the ball in his possession.

He is obviously checked out mentally compared to where he was earlier in the season when we were still competing. Losing 10 games in a row, being completely out of contention, having heavy legs from playing heavy minutes because of injuries, being down by 20 points for most of the minutes you're on the floor, having opposing defenses surround and collapse on him in the paint because they don't fear our 3 point shooters, rarely getting the inlet pass because of ball dominant guards... these things take a toll on motivation and focus.

Not everyone can be like Sexton mentally, and even Sexton's focus has dropped off at times.

I don't blame him even a little bit. It's called being human. If we were in contention and if we had better pieces with him on the floor I think you'd see a different player out there. If we're bored and hopeless as fans imagine what it's like as a high minutes player banging in the paint every night.

Checked out in a contract year? That in itself is not a good sign. Either dude don't want to be here and is willing to take less money or he's not someone we can depend on. Both bad.

I'm honestly hoping they reveal he has a nagging injury that will be ok by next year. He really hasn't looked fast or quick off his feet since the concussion
