I do not understand this guy substitutions. Why is he taking out the hot hand? He took Garland out as he was bringing the Cavs back.

I'm pretty sure you have me on block but this is false. Totally and completely.

It is probably worth noting that Keith Dambrot had a similar but FAR worse incident, and eventually ended up landing on his feet.

One of the biggest "what if"/"butterfly effect" type scenarios is if he either ended up banned for life from coaching, as people were speculating was possible at the time, or stayed in his job at Central Michigan, and thus ended up never coaching LeBron.

I bet $10 on a sick parlay which will win me $841 if I hit all 5.

Cavs by 11+
Cavs lead at halftime
Garland 14+ points
Kove 19+ points
Thompson 12 points or less

So I'm hoping they want to quiet down the noise around Slug Gate and get that double digit win. But not Tristan. Quiet game for you, sir.
I didn't see the game, but they won ,which is a good thing.

I'm european so i'm clearly missing something here. i know the word thug, but does it have any other connotation?
Because if a coach said "you're playing like thugs" i would just interpret it as you're playing too rough, with no discipline or something along those lines.

Also, how the fuck does this get out of the locker room? Someone clearly wants him out.

A white man calling a group of predominantly black men thugs would not be taken by the black men in the literal definition.

Essentially it’s seen as a code word with anti minority racial undertones.

you seem stressed

Bolded is the important part.

Collin said "HE calls us slugs all the time because we slow. It's all good."

If he had said "thugs" and meant it that would have been 'CISM. But that also would not have made ANY sense in the context of how the Cavs actually play basketball games.

They aren't particularly aggressive, nor does anyone foul hard, or play what my uncle used to call "that blacktop basketball" (i.e. one-on-one on a playground basketball court).

Now "sluggish"? Especially when the team gets on a dribblefest, that makes all the sense.

The guy made a mistake, but at this point it doesn't matter. He's got his own players ratting him out when they know it was probably a slip of the tongue.

This means they don't respect him or see him as a leader. It's a problem.

The entire team outside of one guy is fine with it

That's actually great to hear. I don't think he's doing a poor job at this point. How can you prove it was only one guy? Do we know that for certain?

Rumor I've heard that it wasn't a player that leaked it, but since I can't get any confirmation on it, it's classified solely in the baseless rumor category.

There was a moment where Garland threw a lob to TT near the end of regulation (Garland missed an open lob earlier opting to take a tough shot) and Kevin Love pointed a finger to Beilein. However, Beilein didn't acknowledge it and I felt it LMAO.

I'm buying the Koby leaked it to Woj as damage control. Woj seems to write fluff pieces about Koby even for meh type moves so they clearly have a good relationship.

FWIW, Beilein made a comment after the game that Bickerstaff handles substitutions.
