Weren't Cavs fans arm waving for Bickerstaff last summer???? or was that somebody else????
RCF Groupthink was that Beilein was a great hire, and that we were lucky to have Bickerstaff as the associate head coach because numerous teams wanted him.

How can people honestly blame Bickerstaff.. our guards are both 6’1 and our starting C yesterday was 6’7. We are constantly undersized, the only player on the team who isn’t undersized for their position is naturally a lousy defender in Kevin Love. Cedi and Porter are both more suited to SG than SF too imo but we don’t have any other options. The roster sucks

Porter and sexton should start in the backcourt. Period. Garland off the bench
Separate sexton and garland as much as possible
Sexton defending the other pg is better than him defending the two
Also starting henson and nance

Interesting item in the Athletic. Everything I read was that Gilbert wasn't behind this signing at all. I remember at the time it happened, I thought it was an odd course given what we were originally told (young guy, G League experience, developmental etc. etc.). Is Jason Lloyd giving Altman room to take a mulligan on Beilein?

"10. Part of this falls on them. John Beilein is not fitting the pro game. While a number of folks around the league thought Beilein was an excellent coach, it just isn’t working to this point and I’m not sure whether it can be salvaged. While Altman’s candidate list last summer consisted of young assistant coaches with G League experience and a history of player development, Dan Gilbert pulled a U-turn and hired Beilein. How long will he last? I’d bet the under. "

ah the ole “it wasn’t my choice” leaks that happen every time something goes wrong. Stop leaking koby it’s not a good look.

Is Beilein the problem though? Imo it's looking like talent is the problem. They fucked up on signing Love to an untradable contract and drafted another fucking point guard when they have Sexton who is better than we thought he would be. I hope they don't drfst another point guard.

except that's Jason Lloyd, who I like.

So Lloyd just wants to shift goalposts and create false narratives, despite overwhelming contradictory statements. He used to be okay until he got pissy with the Cavs when he got shut out for info. Since then there's been a clear vindictiveness in every article he writes.

Story on this in the ABJ this morning. From Beilein's quotes it seems he's about ready to admit he isn't cut out for the NBA. Especially transitioning at 67 years old. Sounds like he's tired and out of ideas already. Not a good look.
Wonder whats racing through his mind after that disgusting loss with the Clippers.

My guess is he's figuring out how much of his salary is guaranteed and how to bow out gracefully.
