Last game is not the one to judge him on.

That is 2x that the Clippers have been able to shut Sexton down. That just doesn't happen much to Sexton. He is usually the guy scoring, even inefficiently and no one else can score against good defenses.

The Clippers were blown out the night before and they were angry, and did not let up a second for 48 min. That was a great great performance from them, while the Cavs were 6trying to integrate a major piece. They weren't ready for that Clipper steam at all, and discombobulated is putting it mildly.

Beilein deserves some flak, but man this was a tough position to be in. I don't think the losses are on him. I thought the team despite the losses had been playing much better lately beside the GS loss and this one. Then you realize that the Clippers and GS are the ones that play a switching defense and you realize that this team cannot punish mismatches at all. That is how you beat the switching defense, you punish mismatches. Well, who is going to do that on this team?? We don't have anyone besides Drummond maybe, and he is not integrated at all, and the clippers were able to disrupt every part of the offense.

After the season is over, there is going to be a lot of talk about how awesome Lue and Doc are together and the defense they put together for the playoffs. I don't see anyone except Milwaukee having a chance against them.

The Clippers are better than the Lakers,,they are coming out of the West,,,that Bucks Clippers series will be must see tv for nba junkies.

Collin gets 3 questionable fouls rt off the bat clipper were blown out the night before in my opinion after the game was out of control the ref start giving some fouls to them the nba is all about the stars they want to build up

“Kevin Porter, his rapid ascent in development has put him squarely in the rotation and even more in terms of what he means to this franchise. Kevin Porter Jr. has been phenomenal,” Altman said. “So we have a 19-year-old that plays a ton of minutes and a starting backcourt at 20 and 21 years old. We knew that there was going to be a level of development and patience that we had to have with that trio.

“But seeing them progress, even in OKC we didn’t win [a 109-103 loss on Wednesday], but we got better. That’s really what this year is about, is seeing how good we can be with those guys and then complementing them with the right pieces and the right veterans.”

To me that’s our success. I didn’t ever want to come into the year putting a win-loss record on it. If we’re engaging the success of those guys, I’m in a good space,” Altman said. “I’m excited about our future because of where they’ve come from day one in terms of first game of the season to where they are now and where they’re going. I think the Andre Drummond piece helps that even more.”

Based on this article from yesterday, it's pretty evident Koby doesn't care about the teams overall record and won't get lost in one result. It's important because GM's always say that but do not stick with it after a couple of brutal results (although the Clippers game was after the article lol). The fact that there have been talks and rumors about moving Sexton lets you know they don't believe in the viability of a small back-court line-up and Koby should stop messing around and do it already because that's all Beilein is waiting on (I think banking on Garland while he's struggling this badly is risky).

This upcoming draft looks incredibly weak so I'm hoping they add a guy who's floor is at least good to great defender with size and athleticism to pair with Garland and Porter. Too many guys on this team look outmatched on a nightly basis. Having to fight uphill from a talent standpoint is hard enough but physical limitations make it nearly impossible. I highly doubt an experienced G-League coach or an in vogue NBA assistant would've made a difference regarding Beilein "learning curve."

Is Beilein the problem though? Imo it's looking like talent is the problem. They fucked up on signing Love to an untradable contract and drafted another fucking point guard when they have Sexton who is better than we thought he would be. I hope they don't drfst another point guard.

I don't understand, why this organization made that decision to sign Love again. At least, wait til his contract was over. Now,this team is stuck with him and his contract.

This organization needs to do something about the foul calls. So,many times, I've seen teams elbow, pushing and outright maul our players yet they never get a foul call on them...Meanwhile,we get bullshit calls on us.

I'm surprised Sexton hasn't been injured yet because he's been the main player that gets hit in the face by the opponent.

I have a few concerns.

1. The lack of off ball movement which I thought he was suppose to implement
2. The continual talk about a learning curve for him, the coach. We are 50+ games in now it’s a bit worrying he still needs to learn how to coach. How long did Brad Stevens take to learn the NBA game.
3. His communication skills don’t appear to be the best just based on interviews

Stevens won 25 games his first season. So they sucked. Maybe not this bad, but they sucked. They made the playoffs the next year. I think he deserves a year and an off season to see where we are at. IF he lasts that long. Maybe he quits I dunno.

I am giving Beilein and Garland the same amount of time to judge them. We need a season and a half to see if anything is there. There have been games where he was proud of them like against OKC and the Raptors recently where they played well and that was the way he wanted them to play. I feel like he has actually made progress, but there is a game like this or Golden State once in awhile that shows all the weaknesses.

Until the Cavs Management and local reporters start complaining about it nothing will happen you would think that the local sport writers and radio personalities would.I am talking about the way we are treated No respect

So Lloyd just wants to shift goalposts and create false narratives, despite overwhelming contradictory statements. He used to be okay until he got pissy with the Cavs when he got shut out for info. Since then there's been a clear vindictiveness in every article he writes.
It is kind of tiring to have the "all reporters have it out for the Cavs" trope.

My guess is someone gave him the "Gilbert pushed Beilien" thing and he published it. I don't think it's vindictive at all. Though it wouldn't surprise me if Gilbert shut him out because he had the nerve to point out letting Griff go was a shit move. . Gilbert fired Matt Guakas for having the audacity to point out how truly bad the Cavs were playing in Gilbert's first year of owning the team.. he hated "negativity"

Me, if I ain't wearing shit while walking down the street, please tell me, it's not always best practice to ignore the emperors new clothes.

It has to be the focus..I know about getting the BPA when you don't have a lot of talent, but the SF spot is one that HAS to be maxed by a athletic ,lengthy player.
The Cavs simply don't have a SF capable of dominating a game and being a match up problem for other teams.
There's a lot to be said about Garland, but he just isn't ready for this level of play.
I don't know if the rumors about moving Sexton actually are worth anything at the moment but I think it would be a mistake.Garland isn't ready to handle running a team right now.
And I agree , the Cavs at most positions look over matched.

Does anyone have stats on the close games cavs have lost in the last 5 mins? I feel like they have been close a lot but can’t stay composed and execute at the end of games. Obviously they need to actually WIN games, but I think that might be an interesting stat.

It's defense. They really can't play defense and you have to at the end of the game. They end up trading buckets and end up missing more than their opponents.

I really want them to take Isaac Okoro. I just think he has the most 2 way potential in this draft as a wing. He is Porter's size, but he is really smart defensively. The team is actually pretty good offensively and has some upside there IMO. They really need defensive help.

Garland not showing he is the clear starter over Sexton has been a problem.

Seeing him hit those back to back threes was amazing. Tristan since coming here almost a decade ago has been nothing, but a guy who gives everything when he's on the court. Wish he could retire as a Cav. Standing ovation if he ever returns in another uniform.
