Its been a slow trickle but the local media is starting to turn on him for a lot of the same reason we discuss here. Honestly he seems to be stunting the growth of the team, having the bench playing scared because the perceived "doghouse" and he keeps shoveling out players that are injured. Like how many times does DM need to reinjure his groin or for Darius to keep fucking his hand up before this man learns his lesson, and don't get me started on how he handled Kevin. I hope Koby can suck up his pride, accept he made a mistake and move on. I would go after Ime Udoka if I were the Cavs, and put clear cut morality causes for an out if he messes around, but if they want to play it safe someone like Kenny Atkinson would be massive upgrade plus he has coached several of our players already.

I wouldnt touch Udoka. Hes a toxic asset given what happened in Boston. Atkinson is good. I would also like to go after one of the younger assistant coaches who has shown potential. I dont follow the coaching circles closely so I couldnt tell you a specific candidate, but new blood is always good.

His strategy of shortening the bench to prepare for the playoffs is very likely to have the opposite effect, especially doing so at this stage of the season already.

Not only that but the variance within the offense gets very predictable and stagnant with Donovan dominating the ball throughout the game when Darius does not have it.

I stand alongside others who believe Neto is still worthy of some run, if only for his added defensive energy, ability to hit open 3s on occasion and ability to get others involved on the offensive end.

It's just such an unstable strategy, when come playoff time where fouls and injuries always pop up during the course of the series or a run.

Why would you not want numerous players in rhythm to step in and contribute on a given night? Why create rust as a likely fault/factor/outcome for your own team? Simply seems foolhardy.

I’d love to trade him for the Orlando Magic’s coach… straight up deal!

I just dont agree with a lot of his coaching decisions. Not saying I am right and he is wrong I just dont agree with them. Shortening the rotation this much doesnt make sense. Playing none of Wade/Cedi/Green when we were clearly lacking spacing in the second half didnt make sense to me. Obviously the play to go for two down 3 with no timeouts didnt make sense to me.
I would love Spo as a coach, surely he is getting sick of coaching Jimmy + a collection of role players

Hopefully this guy is gone if the Cavs gets swept in the first round. Grits and grind is way too important for him even over spacing and shooting.

The shortening of bench is something we don't talk about here enough. He literally is running our starters into the ground while actively destroying the mentally of the bench to what point? If it not out of sure stupidity it has to have some kind of malice, like a personal grudge. I posted this before but he doesn't coach the players up he kicks them in the nuts while they are down. O/U Donovan plays 38 mins?

JBB has very set ideas of what he expects from players
on the floor.

Unfortunately, the leash for PT can be very short and whatever
the fault found in allocated minutes is grounds for burial
at the end of the bench, not even seeing the court for garbage
minutes.

As we have witnessed , on court success for anyone outside
the top 7 rotation, is often rewarded with a string of
DNP_CD games.

Thibs has the rep of running players into the ground but
JBB is right there with him.

I actually agree with you on this point, and I can't make a logical argument for why your point of view is wrong. I just can't understand why we wouldn't want to stay on the 9 or 10 deep side with rotations at this point of the season. Keep the bench guys active and engaged. Keep the top rotation guys fresh. Keep them all familiarized with being on the court in different combinations.

It's inexplicable to me why the short rotations and running the wheels off our top 7 guys is in any way smart or desirable.

It seems to me that this has to be an organizational decision, not just JBB alone. This strategy must be signed off on and accepted through the upper levels of management.

Why do people have this opinion? I've seen a few posters say things like this with nothing of that effect from insiders. I don't get why they'd bring in Danny Green just to have him rot on the bench. Feels like an odd thing to assume.
