Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Md 20/20 a kids drink? Naw, when I was growing up the real life winos would have that shit in a paper bag, staggering on the corner asking for change, hitting on every lady that went into the corner score and trying to give us young heads some "game".
True story.
That's more about winos and frat kids drinking the same stuff because its cheap and bottom of the barrel.

Manziel drinking Jack and Coke after a basketball game. shows he is maturing and respecting the game. you cant do that with fortified wines and malt liquor. Just ask Terry Bradshaw

@Tornicade how would you feel about Johnny and Sumlin in Dallas next year
Not sure what Role you would have Sumlin in.

Cowboys do need either a young qb to groom or someone who can come in and get the job done.

Weeden showed he couldn't handle the pressure to make plays in the 4th and Matt Cassel has been no better.

I think the Cowboys add another Journeyman qb and add a qb in the draft.

how Kellen Moore plays will determine if Cowboys do get another Journeyman but barring a trade for Manziel. Cowboys definitely draft a raw prospect in the 2nd round.

Cowboys look to have a top 6 pick this offseason.I think they go defensive and in the 2nd round grab Wentz or Hackenburg or Connor Cook if the Rams go with Wentz regardless if they are able to trade for Manziel.

I don't think the Cowboys would go with Goff or Lynch if either is available when they are on the clock in the first round.

The Cowboys are absolutely fucking retarded if Kellen Moore influences any type of decision their front office makes in regards to their roster.
I forgot he even existed after leaving Boise State.

Its assumed Romo will be healthy next season so the Cowboys already have a starting qb in place.
If Moore can show he can be a game manager within the cowboys system. theres no point in brining in a journeyman qb to back up Romo.

As I stated I expect the Cowboys to draft a qb in the 2nd round regardless of whether they retain Moore or get a Journeyman qb.

Tony Romo himself was 4th string and about to be cut if Quincy Carter hadn't violated the substance abuse policy. QB assessment isn't an exact science like some people seem to think

I don't think much if anything about Kellen Moore myself but if he shows something after Cassel Flops then he definitely makes himself a factor

I'm rewatching the 49ers game, because I barely paid any attention the first time, and I saw the network live broadcast of Johnny's fight with the IPad. What you may not have noticed is McCown calmly talking him through the mistake to his right while Flip tries to hold the laughter in to his left. Great stuff!

Dude gets a lot of flack, but Josh McCown has been one of the few exemplary Browns professionals in the past few years. The guy has been good on the field and hasn't bitched since being replaced. Hope they keep him around for at least another year, regardless whether the QB is Johnny or a new guy.

I don't think there is another backup QB with more experience making, identifying, and psychologically moving on from mistakes than McGown. Its quite impressive.

I think he is a great backup, especially for young quarterbacks. He should end up a QB coach when he retires, assuming he wants the grinding hours. I just don't understand the ongoing misconception that he was good on the field. He was a turnover machine who had three fairly good weeks.

Its time for a Manziel Media Blitz

"They see him ultra-prepared. They see him seamlessly calling plays in the huddle and getting guys lined up, and knowing where to go with the ball and doing his job. There is no substitute for hard work to get to that point," Browns coach Mike Pettine said. "He has put it in and has done it."

Johnny Manziel didn't crumble from the pressure while playing on the road Sunday against one of the NFL's fiercest defenses and in front of its wildest crowd.

Seattle's soundstage wasn't too big or noisy for Johnny. His teammates, though, looked overwhelmed.

"I want these guys to be here next year," Manziel said. "I want to have these receivers and the people that we have on this roster and the staff, so we can go through the spring and not have to learn what this call is and this play and be able to go through a spring and have some of the continuity. So it definitely would be a luxury for sure.''

Most recently, it was tight end Gary Barnidge, who said to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, "I think it has shown in the way he is playing on the field, in practice and in the game and everything else. I think he is just going to keep learning."

Veteran left tackle Joe Thomas has also warmed up to the Manziel-as-quarterback idea, saying per Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot this week, "I think [Manziel] understood how important it was to show his commitment and desire to make the sacrifice to be an NFL quarterback and I think the reason he's playing well right now is because of that sacrifice and that commitment that he's made all year." Thomas added

ESPN's Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen looked at Manziel's return to the starting lineup in the same way many others did—not as an audition for him remaining the Browns starter for 2016 and beyond, but as an audition for other teams potentially interested in trading for him in the offseason, including (of course) the Dallas Cowboys.

But Manziel's last two games—and every time he's taken the field this year, frankly—have shown so much improvement in his fundamentals as an NFL-level passer that his value may be too high for the Browns to consider moving him elsewhere during the offseason.

"It just reinforces what I've said all along from a personal standpoint, (Manziel) and I get along very well,'' said Pettine. "If you just eliminate that incident where I felt like I was doing my job and doing what was best for the team -- and doing what was best for him -- and hopefully he respects that but I also know that from an interaction standpoint, when he's here, I have a ton of respect for him because of A. what he's gone through personally and B. how he has earned the respect of the guys around him.''

I don't get the Johnny hype... I just don't.

Even in the Seattle game, Johnny didn't have much success after the first scripted drive. He barely threw down field. Most of his yardage came either after the catch or to wide open receivers. Yeah there were some drops but several passes were off too... and that was a performance that McCown could've made and had the crowd yawning. When Johnny had to make plays outside of a tightly controlled gameplan at the end, he got strip sacked and threw a pick. Yet this flowery BS comes out afterwards?

He's put up 9, 10, 10, 13 points except for the games against 3 and 4 win teams with the 25th and 31st ranked pass defenses in QB rating allowed. I know our weapons and run game are suspect but are we seriously setting the bar for excitement this low?

In what world does all that anoint a guy as our QB of the future?

I can honestly say that I laughed at "his value being too high for the Browns to move him this offseason."

That's absolutely fucking hilarious; I don't give a shit whose opinion that is. I'd bet my sack they wouldn't fetch more than a fourth for him unless Jerry Jones' dumbass just couldn't help himself.

But the one game where our run game was good was because Johnny was starting! He just electrifies the whole offense!
