Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know you're having fun, but I just want to clarify that I'm not arguing to keep Manziel because he was hard on himself.

I'm just saying that the Manziel apologists saying his performance yesterday was all due to not having better targets is a joke since Johnny himself and anyone that was watching could see that he missed open targets yesterday.
Oh, I knew that. I just seized the opportunity once it was mentioned by someone. Nothing toward you, personally.

No one should be making excuses for Johnny. Johnny himself said he was terrible yesterday and the only reason why we lost yesterday.
I said this and had someone reply to me with:

"Well yeah, he's a humble guy and a team player. I wouldn't expect him to throw his teammates under the bus like Hoyer did."

Johnny Manziel is to humble as Brian Hoyer is to All-Pro

Chiefs had two linebackers out. using Manziels mobility to move the chains was a logical move.

Manziel even earned praise from tight end Gary Barnidge, despite the fact he threw behind Barnidge at least three times and was picked off on one pass intended for him. Barnidge only corralled three of his eight targets for 47 yards.

"It makes it so tough on the defense because you never know what's going to happen,'' he said. "He's able to extend plays 5, 6, 7 seconds when they are done in four. That makes it tough. It helping our running game b/c it forces the defense too keep an eye on another person in the running game. As soon as they commit too much, the passing game becomes open.''

And while Manziel -- who had three chances in the fourth quarter to win the game -- blamed himself for botching the end when time ran out on him and he couldn't run a final play, Barnidge took the onus off the young signal caller.

"It's tough we ran out of time,'' said Barnidge. "He was doing a good job. He was hustling up the plays. You could see the leadership in him. He got everyone going, got the plays called. I don't think we wasted any time.''

Crowell, who rushed for 88 yards on 16 carries, cited Manziel's leadership in the huddle.

"I felt like Johnny was in control,'' he said. "We made some good plays and we made a couple of bad plays. We made a bad play at the wrong time and I feel like that cost us the game."

I don't think anyone is interested in him, aside from the Montreal Alouettes which have been clamoring for him ever since he was overdrafted.

Johnny will look great in Cowboys colors.

On the bench.

It's over. It's time.

You've had enough.

Such a leader, he was in control...of a terrible offense

Unfortunately, opening up the passing game doesn't really work when your QB can't pass.
Crowell, who rushed for 88 yards on 16 carries, cited Manziel's leadership in the huddle.

Crowell in the offseason talking about Flip's new offense in comparison to the year before:

"I feel like there's some things thats the same but ya know, there's also some differences"

Not exactly the guy you want analyzing football.

Ive been a pretty big supporter of Manziel, but yesterday he sucked. His run game was great, but we all know how this story ends. Once people adjust that, hes toast. I think he has more tools than some of his running predecessors, and will catch on eventually. I hope its here, but we are still so many years away it sickens me.

My one argument for keeping him (putting potential of Goff/Lynch aside), is the haul we could get for #2 if Goff is on the board and San Fran gets desperate. They want him, he probably wants to play there, and hes a local guy. That to me, is enough for them to overpay. Add in the fact that Browns, Chargers, Cowboys could all use some sort of QB. Us for starting, Cowboys for developmental, and Chargers because Rivers has voiced his displeasure with moving. Even if the chance is minimal, it could put a real damper on the 49ers rebuild.

If you just go by the trade value chart by dropping from #2 to #6, there is a 1000 pt gap. The 49ers 2nd rounder is 520 pts, and then they still "owe us" 480 pts (240 of which could technically come from their 3rd).

So we add a 2nd + some to just drop down to 6. If there was ever a year to trade down...this may be it.

That being said....no way in hell do I let Farmer make the picks.
Only one QB had over 60% passing in Arrowhead stadium this season and that qb threw two interceptions and was sacked 6 times.

KC has only allowed 2 100 yard rushers this season at home (including Manziel)

4 of the last 5 teams to play at arrowhead scored less than 14 points.

Of thoseteams the Browns are the only ones to finish under 7 points. 9

The Browns posted the most rushing yards against the chiefs by over 80 yards.

Chiefs have held 9 teams to less than 250 yards passing and 10 teams to less than 100 yards rushing.

The Chiefs have held 8 teams to less than 350 total yards.

The offense was competitive and had opportunities to win the game.

Going for it on 4th and long while they were in fg range. having another field goal blocked and throwing an interceptions on a turnover possession. as well as an unnecessary grounding call.

Manziel had a good passing game against Pittsburgh on the road. while he may not be as effective passing next week he should be solid to end the season.

Pretty sure he was 5/18 in the second half. Can we end the experiment?

Yo, if you get riled up over the new video you're a fucking loser. Just a heads up.
