JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Nobody and I mean absolutely Nobody wanted JR Smith or Shumpert on this board before today its kind of strange.

Great. That not what the deal was. If you'd have asked me yesterday if I'd take Shumpert, JR , and a 1st round pick for Dion, I'd have said yes.

It wasn't Dion for Shumpert
It wasn't Dion for Smith
It wasn't Dion for a 1st round pick to help us get a center.

It was Dion, one of our two exceptions, and two non guaranteed guys for Shumpert, Smith, and the pick.

I don't know if this was posted, but here's a pic from Andy's instagram:

Guess he's happy...?

The Cleveland Cavaliers: Now With 100% More Ink!

Dion was only a centerpiece to a possible Love deal by CAVS fans who hoped/dreamed to be able to get Love without giving up Wiggins. The Wolves never entertained and never wanted Dion Waiters.

A major piece on a team already featuring LeBron, Kyrie, and Love is not the same as "a major piece" when you're starting a team from scratch.

Beyond that given Dions salary, what major piece suggest we could ever get for Dion in midseason.

Who knows? That's why you maybe try to package him in a larger trade. It looks like a decent trade on paper and I hope it turns out, but that doesn't mean it will

I have very little hope for J.R. Smith. I think he'll hate living in Cleveland and spend most of his time trying to find a way out. Maybe he'll transform into the player he was two years ago.....but I wouldn't bet on it.

He was in Denver for awhile

When you examine it through the lense of time, it almost seems obvious that JR was destined to be a Cavs SG at some point.

Anthony Parker really screwed things up for a year or two with his corny ass.

Well when you look at it this way in three years we should have Swaggy P. All rejoice!

What is it with head cases and ink? Always screaming for attention. Some one should do a study.

He was in Denver for awhile

Having lived in both, it is hardly a comparison. Denver is one of the top three destinations for urban-loving millennials; not least of which, in terms of reasons, is the high population density of ski bunnies.

i like the addition. Smith is a legit talent and and explosive scorer. his game is similar to Dion's, but he's better than Dion in just about every way. I'll take it.

obviously, he's a head case, but hopefully he can keep it together enough to be a positive contributor.
