Seems to be a good soldier so far. Lead by example. Nothing left to prove.

NBA.com lists him as DNP-CD yesterday. Was it still back spasms, or was he held out?

There's no way this team counts on anything from Okoro the way they do LeVert. Okoro for all the love he has received here recently is just too undependable on the offensive end, he was not scored in double digits in the last 6 games. That's not easy to do as an NBA starter, and it should be doubly more difficult when the team's leading scorer was out most of those games. He's also hit just 4 of his last 16 three pointers. If they don't keep LeVert they need a guard who when forced to start can put in who can put in 15-20 on a regular basis and bring the ball up and serve as a secondary playmaker, things Okoro has shown zero ability at. LeVert is replaceable but not by Okoro's skillset.

if okoro cant replace levert next year then when can he.....eventually he has to sink or swim or the cavs will have a matysse tybulle problem...four years in the league and no value....76ers going to let him walk

jb told him that hes now a situational player...so the last month couldve been a back problem as opposed to the finger. ton of miles and injuries on him....bad back...cavs coudl dump him and cedi for washington and hayward....even throw in some seconds. gordon has 30mm next year but washington has 7 and is rfa wiht bird rihgts...pj could be a rodney rogers playing the 3 and 4.....same build... the cavs could get lucky and gordon might be able to make through this years playoffs at 25 min/game and next year 18....depending on matchups mobley slide to the 3 and pj at the 4.

could be the best deal for the cavs...lots of risk with gordon but a shitload of upside should hayward remain healthy...either wade or okoro down to 10 minutes/game in the playoffs.....which is exaclty where they belong..both these gjuys have no business whatsoever playing starter minutes in the playoffs

Just a coaching decision. He went through warmups and everything and was available. It’s the right move too. Love needs to sit until he gets his shooting stroke back.

I'll be shocked but I think this is who love is now. He's not going to get stronger faster taller. He can go to a contender and play situationally to see if he can catch fire but that's it. Or he can go the veteran route play on a bad team maybe get minutes just messing around but I think his days of being a consistent performer for a playoff team are over.

Hes expensive for it this season, but as a situational 10th guy/4th big you could do way way worsr

He could be a diva/distraction. So far he appears to be a good teammate, even when not playing. And he still may have some basketball left in him. I wonder if this is his last year. I suspect no one will offer him enough money or enough meaningful playing time for him to go through the rigors of another season. When this contract is up, he will have made 266 million in his career just from salary. I would guess endorsements push that number past 300 million. In other words, he has more than he can spend. I bet this is it.

If he doesn't feature tonight you have to imagine that is the end of him in Cleveland. Maybe they are playing the long game, holding him out until he is healthy and his shooting mechanics are back to somewhere near his norm but the team is making a strong case for him no longer being needed, almost as strong as the case Love was making for his last 20 games.

Somewhat sad it is ending this way, getting sentimental in my old age, would have been sweet if the positive impact he made made last year had continued beyond the first month of this season.

No to Hayward. I live in the Charlotte TV market and Haward is unreliable, slow, plays no defense and his shot has been off. I don't even think he is an upgrade over Cedi. Charlotte would have to attach a first round pick to get rid of him

Main reason to keep Kevin is for depth. He can get as healthy as he can and be called on when needed. Wade hasn't been a creature of health.

Guess Love will only play now if Wade or Mobley is injured.
