Who said, "the exact same thing"? Spoelstra is saying Love isn't helpful when games count most. People were berating JBB, Koby, and anyone associated with the franchise for saying the same.

If the match-up was favorable and Love was healthy, he would've played. Miami has a coach that understands when certain players can be useful and how to use them appropriately. Meanwhile, the Cavs' coach needs a script and flower power slogans.

Imagine moving to the beach & going from a junkyard coach to one of the top minds and tacticians in the league.

I imagine Love is having great trouble with this.

"Hey, Kevin, do you want to stay on the bench indefinitely during the regular season, and get eliminated by the Knicks in the first round -- OR do you want to play in the regular season, play in the first round, play in the second round and beat those Knicks, and even play a few games in the ECF, and make the Finals? Which is it?"

Very, very difficult decision.

All you RCF meanies need to bring out the pitchforks to Spo for not playing Love a couple of games in the ECF! It may not be the exact same thing as what JBB did but...

LOL I still can't believe someone wrote that.

If you're a fan of a team, and that team loses in the first round, and a player your team benched in the regular season goes on to a team that makes the Finals -- all while playing that player not just in the regular season, but also in most of the playoffs --

Then yeah, fans of that team shouldn't be running out with pitchforks to that other team's coach.

I'd love it if Spo coached the Cavs (or the Thunder, and I like Daigneault).

Really? Half the board defends JBB like he's their son...

Sixers should pay Love whatever is necessary to get him to Philly. He’ll get them into the Finals. And even if he doesn’t it would be a much less ridiculous move than at least half a dozen colossal f*ck ups over the past ten years.

Seriously though - I wonder what kind of contract K Love gets this summer. Let’s see - which team likes acquiring over the hill players for too much money? Brooklyn!

They won't have to overpay for him, but I'm not sure how he doesn't go to the Lakers. Originally from Cali. Played at UCLA. LBJ connection and also played with Davis on Team USA. They need shooting and front-court help off the bench. They'll especially be eager to get him in if he plays and does OK against Denver in the Finals.

Oh yeah, his high school team was the Lake Oswego Lakers. It was written in stone.

Even if he doesn't play in the Finals, some team will probably be needy enough to want what he brings, just based on what he did in the Milwaukee series alone.

Strong opening series with his shooting, and then his rebounding was huge against the Knicks. Bad match up against the Celtics, might be the same against Denver, but could see him on Jokic at times.

I’ve seen this expressed by a lot of MIA fans looking on the outside in, but interesting to hear it first hand. I think some of us (including myself) may have downplayed the effect Love had on the locker room and the mental hurdle it likely created for our young guys when we couldn’t keep him around.
