Re: 1/14/06 Cavs @ Suns
Now that's the LePip preview style we're all looking for! (This was just a plot by Karma to get you to write more.)
Anyway, I agree about not being able to shut down Nash's passing and Raja Bell. Not sure about the rest. I think we can handle Marion. Bell honestly is who scares the crap out of me tonight. He'll be open the entire time unless Jackson can stick with him, which I kind of doubt.
LePIP said:I'll be waiting...I religiously follow John Hollinger...So as I await for those dynamic results, I will remain here quivering with anticipation...
My take is as follows...
Up and down game...3/5 of our starting lineup play as if they are stuck in gum on most nights.. Z/DJ/Snow..
Steve Nash runs around all game... With our late rotations (if we even rotate, as we still struggle with this) it doesn't make for a recipe of success with our squad...We barely rotate within the interior (they're just now starting to get this) ...Having to rotate and switch everything along the perimeter might just be too much for a couple of our mental midgets...
But that is not what scares me about this game.. What scares me is the following:
Eric Snow has guarded the best perimeter player since Larry has been down (and even before Larry went down-->Vince Carter)... The problem with Snow guarding nash is not from preventing him to score, like he has done with these other guards.. But, to prevent him from making the pass...Much harder.
Snow will be on top of his game defensively, he usually always is, and I have no reason to doubt he won't be tonight.....I can't say the same for LeBron, and god knows Damon Jones will not be on top of his game defensively...
Guys like Raja Bell and James Jones should be able to carve us up...
The fact that Drew has to step out on Boris Diaw is scary... Although Diaw is the center, I could not imagine Mike Brown sticking Z on him out there...
Then there is Shawn Marion.... Who excactly is going to keep him off the glass ? Not to mention guard him on the perimeter and his drive ? ...
Hell, even Eddie House is a scary matchup for this team....
Perhaps I am completely off, and the Cavs will blow those guys out ? Like I said earlier, I hope they do.... I just don't see it... If I am wrong ? I will come on here later and say I was wrong...
All I can ask for in this game is to at least stay competitive...
