Laptop Advice

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The newer Dell Latitude's are very nice, and very good machines. I have a 2003, and it works great, but all I do is AIM, this, and Microsoft works.

You can get a great laptop for 600. Top of the line, does all you need and more. If you have extra you'd like to spend, you can get a wireless/wired mouse, a underfan (great idea, heat kills laptops like crazy) or you can try to get a better battery, but those are expensive.

Vista is bootleg Mac.

17" Imac. The computer that you will ever need.

And you can look at all the pron in the world and not get a virus.

Isn't that all a college kid wants in a computer?

:chuckles:

Or the Macbook is a lovely little machine.

Dell's aren't impressive to me. They are just like any other computer out there like Compaq's and E-Machines or Gateways. They eventually freeze up on you and get infested.

If you're into design then you'd NEED a Mac. Mac's are good for editing and things of that nature. If that has nothing to do with your major, then just get a regular laptop. Mac is insanely expensive.

GET A DELL!

Oh, I'm sorry.... I didn't know that my computer was a P.O.S.

Mac's are for..... :gay:

Bro, if you already have a cool PC, then why get another PC when you can at least have the Mac experience with one of your computers?

Makes sense to me.

I think what Glen is trying to say is: Once you go MAC you don't go back...

I don't edit movies and Photoshop gives me anxiety attacks..

I think I'll pass on the Mac..

Macs still only control about 5% of the market.

Glen Infante changed his name in 1992 from Steve Jobs :chuckles:

I kinda wanna check out Windows Vista and see what all the hub ub is about..

there is no hub ub . . . Its a memory HOG and incredibly bloated OS. you'll need at least 1.5 to 2GB of RAM to have it run worth a SH!t.

only geeks are flocking to use it, no sensible usiness is using it.

wait a year or two till its stable and MS finishes its last stage of beta testing on the public after the 2nd or 3rd service pack comes out.

 Do you fear Photoshop?

I don't even want Vista just yet. It's not even compatible with alot of programs just yet. It'd probably make me want to throw my computer out of the window.

I'm content with my Windows XP for the time being.
