It is interesting how if you ask for a report from several different people you’ll get entirely different reports from each one.

For example, my account was that Lauri drilled down 10-12 feet through the floor making a loud kerrrrrrack sound followed by several of the players near him blasting up into the air with their mouths and eyes widened in O’s of horror. Then he heroically pulled himself up through the rubble with a grimace on his face making a loud rrrnnnnngggg sound as the stadium collapsed around him. He then blasted towards the sideline fist first, ankle dangling limply and rescued a screaming Serena Winters before carrying her upwards out of the way of imminent doom.
That's exactly how I remember it too.

Cavs is 4-1 now (5-1 if you include game where Lauri got injury) after Markkanen went down. I hope they don’t try to speed up his recovery. Let that ankle heal..

Or, maybe, you just vastly over-reacted in your own estimation of how severe the injury was when it happened.
I dunno. When you're a giant human and your ankle bone literally touches the floor as you descend on it with your full weight... you tend to be out for a while. Particularly in an NBA era where a jammed finger is treated like a career-threatening injury.

Sounds like the opening scene to Cruel Intentions…. Ryan Phillippe as Lauri and of course Serena is a dead ringer for Sarah Michelle Gellar

This is true. Except for the times where certain guys just get up and walk it off, and end up resuming play like almost nothing happened. Like I said, anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 years is a pretty accurate window.

Whaaaaaat?

They kept Mobley out for ages because he tweaked his elbow, but Lauri's already coming back even though he dented the floor with his ankle bone?

Wow. I guess we really, really, REALLY need shooting.
one guy is the Franchise, the other is the Lauri.

As an internet health practitioner (Like many, I was certified when Covid came out), I am shocked that Lauri isn't still in a wheelchair. That said, I was also surprised how quickly this guy recovered after being killed in front of Rocky the Mountain Lion and John Elway.

Just an ugly looking injury who’s severity wasn’t that bad. I had my ankle touch the floor once and I missed nothing. I can also see it taking a surgery. Depends on the person.
Getting him back sooner than later is huge.

I really think that has nothing to do with it. They consider Lauri a part of core too, its just that the ankle wasnt as severe as we thought. They were pretty tight lipped on it, one thing i trust is our Dr's, they do a fantastic job.

I read somewhere yesterday, he took part in practice?

As hard as it is to wait, the right move has to be to tell him to wait until after the break. Take the big picture, make sure you're 100% and lets come back with the extra couple weeks of recovery time and start destroying teams.

It still gives us plenty of time to figure out rotations, and for the team to gel heading into the playoffs, but also will hopefully give Lauri the time to make sure he is legitimately 100%.

There is no motivation to hurry him back. We are 7-2 with him out - and that’s with Garland missing 4 games. He’s another weapon, but as long as we are winning without him, let him get fully healthy. There could be a benefit for us in the long run. With just 24 regular season games after the all star break, he ought to be pretty fresh heading into the playoffs.

We’ve actually not missed a beat without this dude…..Nice luxury piece…

Just shows you how versatile Delicious Dean Wade is…

Including the game he went out in the boys are 7-2 including some without Garland and a whack ass loss to Houston & Detroit… No biggie…

Take your time, Homie…

when he does come back I would be all for giving KLove a few games off to keep him fresh
