At the least I'd be shocked if Halliburton barring injury isn't 10 to 15 year NBA players. The case for him is pretty easy as he can play either the 1 or 2. Can be on ball or off ball. On the Cavs he would essentially solve SexLand as either Garland or Sexton could for with him
Meanwhile Okoro I don't know man. He's got some athleticism but he doesn't jump out of the gym like a guy like a Morant. He seems like a good kid and certainly Jimmy Butler is the best case scenario for him but to get to that stage is going to take a long long time. His box score +/- numbers are the worse among all rookies seeing PT. The dude right now can't catch and shoot, can't pull up, can't post op. His FT shooting is still a concern. I haven't even got to things like court vision. That's a lot of skills to add
Okoro just doesn't have a strength on offense to hang his hat on to help him build out the rest of his game. That's the flaw of taking someone this raw on offense with the #5 pick. Being a good defender just isn't enough to justify 30 minutes a game if you play a position outside of center.
Nwaba is an example of a limited offensive player and a good defender, the Cavs had a hard time finding minutes for him.
I think the front office overvalued what Okoro brought to the team and might have just brought this type of player in at the wrong time. We have no structure to our offense. Sexton and Garland are still finding their way in the NBA. We really don't have enough weapons on offense to cover for Okoro.
I also don't think someone this raw on offense can be thrown to the fire to figure it out. It's not like his offensive game is waiting for the game to slow down for him, he doesn't even have that base.
