Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The thing I don't understand everyone saw the schedule for February yet people are bitching about the team getting blown out by playoff teams.

I'm not saying I didn't want them to win but outside of the Suns and Warriors, who didn't make the playoffs everyone else were in the playoffs just six months ago.
Well apart from the suns game most if not all the games have been over by halftime. They have played a style of basketball that doesn’t fit the current era. There were signs of this just before the run of hard teams with a blowout loss to the Knicks + losing to the Twolves without KAT. Not to mention they recently got completely out played by the clippers bench.

Worse defense than the Nets, but without Harden, KD, or Kyrie. Ouch.

The last 15 have been terrible. No excuse to be that bad on offense though. Last? I guess you open the door to that when you don't shoot 3s.

I feel like I'm giving the Cavs one more chance tonight before I lose hope for much growth this season. Drummond is away from the team. They have had a bunch of days off to practice and get re-centered. It's not Ws or Ls, it's the effort. They used to come to play.

You're right losing to the Knicks and Timberwolves is inexcusable but people should have understand that the team wasn't going to beat those teams afterwards. This team is a year away maybe two to being an average to good team. I don't understand, why people are so impatient knowing this team is young and doesn't have the experience to beating good teams yet.

Yeah this is my problem. They were coming back in games after getting down initially due to locking in on D. We need to see that again.

its more the fact we are the worst team in the NBA atm, our +/- is minus 10 a game, that indicates we are absolutely awful

Getting destroyed on the boards because we don't have our PFs AND our lottery trio absolutely refuses to grow a fucking pair and go help out.

They just stand idly by.

It's little things that that can make a group unplayable. If they started to play a little bigger on the boards, suddenly you give up less 2nd chances and what is a bad defensive unit doesn't turn into an awful one.

But they all just stand watch it happen. No effort to get a rebound.

I'm almost positive each player is dead ass last at their respective positions in RPG amongst starters.

This is just one of the many problems with the three of them sharing the court together, but it is a problem. If Chris Paul can average 4.5 rebounds a game for his career at 6'0, then sure as shit Garland and Sexton can manage to get 3, and Okoro can go get 4.

Jesus Christ get physical, children.

There’s an old saying in sport’s competition “it’s not that you lost....it’s how you looked losing”!
Right now the “look” is ugly!

We got outrebounded 37-34, partly because they converted a higher percentage of shots. They missed 34 shots and we missed 44.

We lost this game because they shot the ball much better than we did.

I think it's time to blow it up. The pieces on this team just does not fit. It all starts with Altman who drafted this Sexland combo that don't work. Then he goes and draft a small SF with no offensive skills..

Fire Altman, Fire Bickerstaff. Trade everyone away except Sexton, Allen, Garland, Okoro and Nance.

Pick between Sexton and Garland as PG. Other becomes sixth man or traded.move Okoro to SG.

We’ve invested high draft picks in Okoro, Sexton & Garland. So management feels like they have to play all of them heavy minutes. However - they aren’t very good individually and are even worse collectively. I don’t think the Cavs are even trying to win games - hoping maybe - but not trying. If wonder who JBB would play if he had 1 game that he had to win to save his job? I’m not impresssed by him as a coach, but I bet he wouldn’t be trotting out the rotations he’s been playing if he’s was really trying to win right now. I think our second 5 would beat tonight’s starting 5.

If management is forcing JBB to play these high draft picks then Altman needs to go. And if JBB is to blame for these continued unbalanced lineups then he needs to go. Sure we all want continuity but you can tell nothing is working. At least Garland looks better than he did last season but to me Sexton is still making the same mistakes and decisions he did for the last two seasons

None of our guys are worth a shit.

Draft best available player regardless of position because I would trade Okoro, Sexton, and Garland for future assets.

None of those guys are cornerstones.

They played a lot of 1 on 1 competitions in practice this week. You have GOT to be kidding me. And Dean was 7-1 in one on one.......Bickerstaff has no clue about coaching.

What is the point of playing one on one in practice? That’s pre jr high stuff.
