Wow, what a shame. This sounds more like a murder than a suicide to me.

Ironically, I like to watch 'The First 48,' which is an interesting show (believe it's on A&E) that follows various police departments in the 48 hours after they receive notification of a possible murder. Anyways, a number of the shows have followed the Memphis PD and it shows the rough side of Memphis, which is apparently where this all transpired. For those who have seen 'The Blind Side,' Michael Oher grew up in the projects of Memphis knows as 'Hurt Village,' which is depicted in the movie. Again, not a nice area.

Wright did pretty well financially during his NBA career. If he was wearing any bling and/or driving a nice car and he happened to be trying to buy some weed or he was simply spotted by the wrong group of guys around 2am, which is when he was last seen, Game Over.

Terrible news. It's always sad when a young life is taken. Condolences to his family. RIP.

This is absolutely terrible.

Absolutely horrible news, condolences to his family and friends.

Rest In Peace Lorenzen Wright

R.I.P. Mr. Wright. Condolences to the family and his 6 kids.

I enjoyed your time on my favorite NBA team, it sucks we couldnt get it done.

I don't think this thread is the appropriate place for speculation about suicide, murder, causes, perpetrators, and so on.

If you want to talk about the investigation/etc., here's a thread for it: http://www.realcavsfans.com/showthread.php?p=985526

I just wanted to have a small place to remember Lorenzen Wright, who was a class act (and a severely well-dressed one) during his time here.

All the speculation is fine but I think it deserves its own Off-Topic thread.
