Lorenzen Wright (1975-2010) / R.I.P.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't think this thread is the appropriate place for speculation about suicide, murder, causes, perpetrators, and so on. If you want to start a thread in off-topic to talk about the investigation, please do so.

I just wanted to have a small place to remember Lorenzen Wright, who was a class act (and a severely well-dressed one) during his time here.

All the speculation is fine but I think it deserves its own Off-Topic thread.

No offense, but I disagree.
When a former high profile athlete and someone young, like Lorenzen Wright, passes, speculation about whether it was a murder or suicide is only natural. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

If you want a vigil, fine, but the ensuing speculation isn't necessarily kicking dirt on the man's grave.

I remember Wright, but not from his time with the Cavaliers, where he rarely got off the bench. He was a heck of a talent coming out of Memphis and, after being a lottery pick by the Clippers, his NBA career was somewhat of a disappointment. Nevertheless, he was a heck of a guy, who had an affinity for Rottweilers.

Seems like it's always the nice guys. Rest in peace, Lorenzo.

RIP Lorenzen.

Will always remember you as a class act.

Wuck's right, save the speculation for a different thread.

Honoring a great man deserves its own thread.

RIP Lorenzen.

RIP Lorenzen, you were a great man.

My prayers and blessings go out to your family.

Life is just a waiting room, heaven is where you will spend eternity.

I'm sorry, but Wuck clearly offered a place to have the type of conversation you seemingly want to have. That's not this thread. Why is that a problem?

I met the man a couple times. Nothing but class. Seemed like a truly a wonderful person. RIP.

No offense, but I disagree.

I didn't create the other thread primarily because of your post above. I deleted one post and edited another, one of which called for the police to investigate specific family members. I don't think that's necessary.

You can disagree, but if you want to talk nuts and bolts of the investigation, here's a thread: http://www.realcavsfans.com/showthread.php?p=985526

Last time we started a Wright thread in Cavs Talk, we had to close it. Might happen again.

no offense wuck but promoting several threads about a subject seems pretty well.. un-mod like. I understand what you are getting at, but then we are literally going to have an entire thread of nothing but "RIP 'lo" thread.

Especially if foul play is involved (and it pretty much looks like it is) shouldnt we as society be trying to shine and bring as much light to a bad situation as possible, not ignore it?

Hate to hear about stuff like this...

The fact that it was a 911 hang up call would indicate that it was not a suicide...and why would he commit suicide in the woods in the middle of nowhere? I hope the police get this all figured out

R.I.P. Lorenzen Wright, horrible horrible news. My condolences for his family and friends.

No offense taken.

I want to give different RCF constituencies the opportunity to participate in separate topics that serve separate functions.

Having an entire thread of nothing but "I remember meeting LW and ___" or "RIP LO" is not the worst thread in RCF's history. I've created worse this week...

RIP. It feels weird because he was only on our team 2 years ago. Sad. Those poor kids too.

Condolences to his family and friends. Horrible situation to be put in, especially the kids. Hope the family nothing but the best from here on out
