Love dissatisfaction with CAVs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Problem is that a team like Portland or Phoenix might balk ata guy who gets this frustrated and points fingers for losing. Teams are looking for leader at that 30M price tag.

Would at the very least be the 2nd highest paid player on Blazers. Blazers have their leader. His name is Damian.

Blazers have given up at this point. I think they might have wanted him earlier in the year to right the ship, but I doubt they pull the trigger now. I am leaning more and more to him not being traded and going through the same thing next year.

I think it depends entirely on what the organizations' position is on Love.

If they just want to get his money off the books and not get back anything meaningful, I think that is easy. The Milsap swap is most assuredly something Denver would do IMO.

If they want some meaningful future asset, I do think that is a lot harder.......and makes it more likely this just lingers in to next year.

I personally would just cut bait on him. Clear the salary, headache and roster spot and move on.

I think Kuzma and a salary dump from another team is something which could happen? Batum perhaps or something. But yes...a Laker straight up concept isn't possible. For the record, I would love some Kuzma here.

Also, Kevin has been a disappointment with his pouting. I believe not enough has been made about how he hasn't been able to become an elite level player again. I think if he was willing to take the team on his shoulders, we'd be better. Elite? No but we'd be better.

I'd do that Milsap deal if there was just one potential piece in there. MPJ ain't happening, but a draft pick or something?

Could easily get Malik Beasley. Maybe Bol Bol. But Beasley doesnt fit with our hoard of guards and Bol Bol isn't really a fit for Beilein.

I believe Denver has no meaningful near term draft assets, via Stepien rules and protections.....and I would imagine they don't want to deal a pick significantly in the future for Love.

Maybe I'm wrong but Denver seems like the parachute chord if all else fails. Straight up swap, where we just remove the longer term dollars and headache. It's not ideal but better than having him pout around through next year IMO.

Yeah as much of a pain in the ass as Kevin is, I would just keep him, unless...

Milsap wanted another 10M just to be a good mentor. I know he has a good rep.

Cavs did waive Cook + McKinnie today. Clearing 2 roster spots. Of course tomorrow is also the guarantee deadline so its likely nothing. But who knows maybe something is in the works.

Is there a reason to convert Cooks contract and then waive him? Is a standard contract better to waive than a 2way? That seems backwards

Maybe if he clears they can resign him to a fresh 2way deal?

Yeah must be. They said they would re-sign Mckinnie if he clears waivers. You prob can't sign a 2way and cut and re-sign.

I've seen some people say they have interest in Kuzma. Can I ask why? Dude is just this generations Al Harrington. He's never met a shot he doesn't like, doesn't rebound well and can't defend a lick. If he didn't play for the Lakers no one would even know who he was.

Yeah he’s too small/soft to be a PF and too slow to be a SF. He is also an overrated shooter

I can buy cutting McKinney. But why convert Cooks contract just to cut him? It makes no sense. Unless you need a roster spot. I think something is up.
