Letting Green was because he sucked for us. Then got into the Spurs developmental system and exploded. Good for him.

Weren't Harris and Powell both involved in cap clearing deals when Bron came back?

I remember Green and Manny Harris were fairly close for the last roster spot. Truly they should have dumped pretty much half that roster before letting Green go.

Powell was traded away late in camp which I can't remember what it exactly did but it was part of a larger trade and Joe Harris was probably the worse of them because they dumped him to save alittle bit on luxury tax. I'm not sure exactly how much they saved but they kept Jordan McRae after his 2 10 day contracts which basically ate up alot of the savings.

The only reason they did what they did with Cook was that’s all they could do to switch Randolph and Cook around as 2 ways. I’m sure Cook got a little financial reward for signing. They knew Cook wouldn’t get signed to a guaranteed deal if he got waived. But maybe he would if they waived him as a 2 way. It seems like everybody hates Randolph but I think they might get surprised.

27 year old with no nba experience and no elite skills, I’m not sure what you are expecting from him but I’m expecting about 20 games played maybe and around 3-4ppg

I guess we’ll see. But if they don’t let him play you’re probably right. I’d sure hate to let the 2 way players have a chance and maybe ruin the great season we have going....

He turns 28 this year its not like he is some young prospect that has scope for improvement, he has no elite skills, average athlete, average shooter.. He will probably get some minutes with Mckinnie gone and KP out and thats about it, I hardly expect anything more than what Blossomgame gave

But Green would be where Manny Harris is now if we kept him which is apparently China. But you could argue no one deserved to be on that first team post LeBron. It was trash piled on shit piled on 50 more feet of trash.

He shot 40%, 45%, and 37% from 3 this year. What Cavs have shot that well?
Wade is shooting 42 % this year from 3 and shot over 40% from 3 his last 3 years at K-State! I’d sure hate to see good shooters on this team!

You’re talking g league though, most of the cavs main rotation would put up monster stats in the g league including players like Garland and Porter. He’s making 2 threes a game at 37%, which is very average for an NBA wing in the g league. Cedi is shooting better at NBA level, let alone G league. Duncan Robinson was making 5 a game at 48% last season as an example of an elite shooter.

Anyways, at the end of the day I hope you’re right and I’m wrong but I won’t bother get my hopes up about him

And,Im also sick of the national media acting like he's been winning for most of his career. It's one thing for Lebron to leave but it's another when I see people in the media ignoring Mr. Talc never went to the playoffs until he got here.

I haven't seen the media imply that he won before Cleveland. But once you get a taste of winning sometimes you want more. While I don't defend on court temper tantrums I would be fed up playing with Collin Sexton myself. While some blame coach Bielein for giving him the go ahead to just score buckets sometimes you still gotta pass. And Sexton ignores open teammates 100% of the time and forces stupid shots.

I mean Koby Altman did flat out lie to him claiming he was going to still try to contend. Kevin should have been smarter sure but he believed the lies and saw the $$$ and ran with it. I'll never blame a player for securing their money. I will blame him for being a whiny bitch though. At least do it in private not on the court. If he truly wants out pouting on the court only hurts both sides.

I'm not so sure about this. He literally played like 100 minutes with the Cavs. Is that enough to decide he sucks?

I feel like a similar thing is going on with Zizic. Give a guy minutes, especially on a bad team.

In the preseason that year he was outplayed by Manny fucking Harris. He wasn't going to become anything in Cleveland. He was blessed to go to SA because otherwise he would be playing with Manny in China. Not sure why people cry over Green. Its almost been a decade. He was a scrub with us. The real reason he has excelled is because he's gotten easy looks on offense in SA - TOR - LA. He never would have got those looks in Cleveland and we had no one to help him develop into the defender he became.

So in an alternate reality say the Cavaliers kept Green and not Manny. Manny goes to Europe sooner and eventually still settles in China. Green plays with us for another year. Doesn't develop with us because our coaches sucked and he's playing in Europe or China afterwards much like Manny is now.

Good discussion but you mention “it’s the g league.” What’s the difference?Lines the same. Balls and hoops the same. Those guys are playing for there basketball lives!! They actually try to play defense and guard the 3! Unlike the guaranteed contract boys. And Cedi is shooting 38%. Not 40+ like Dean and Levi have been 4 years in a row.
